GGG is not gonna beat ward at 168 , and the fight would do less #s then rubio

Way too much risk for way too little reward and thats not GGG fault
It's not even the risk, the money isn't there.

Ward is going to want $2m - minimum (he got $2m v Rodriguez).
Golovkin will want at least $2m (he got $1.5m v Monroe).

Neither of these guys are superstars, so where is the money coming from?

That paradigm has always been a reality of the sport for every fighter, don't play dumb. Tito didn't move up to face Bernard just for glory, he was getting mad cash for it. Are naive to believe he'd have taken that fight for free despite him being a hungry killer?

Golovkin is a big draw, but not a blockbuster draw like Tito was when he moved up for Bernard & Joppy. Bernard didn't draw for **** going into their fight, it was all Tito, but Tito was a major star by then and drew enough that even Bernard could get paid big money. Right now Golovkin still can't draw enough to even get Ward his inflated minimum (and Ward can't draw enough to even get what Willie Monroe was just paid to fight Golovkin).

So GGG is a "big draw" but when it comes to Ward "GGG still can't draw enough".

          Excuses.

They might not be stars by themselves but together it would be a big enough event. If they stuck it on PPV it would sell atleast 300k.

I want to see the fight, but there's little point in being blind to reality either.

I don't think either of them have that kind of loyalty from mainstream fans yet.

No way it probably wouldn't even 100k
