I never asked he fight the best available did I? I asked you why you wouldn't want to see him test himself with a quality opponent rather than a mismatch?
Never misrepresented anything. Gabe Rosado hasn't earned the right to fight Canelo on HBO? Let's pretend Guerrero earned the right to dance with Floyd on PPV after beating Berto (quality opponent my azz). Worse things have happened & can happen where the outcome had been obvious in the careers of better fighters than Canelo.

I already answered your question to which I'd rather watch, see my previous reply again.

We'd probably see Canelo vs GGG 5 de Mayo at a catch weight of like 157 or 8. If he loses or wins, we'd likely see him in vs Cotto for Sept if the fight was great and the winner would get dibs at GGG again. Or if he got even past GGG depending on how fan friendly that was a rematch. There's also Lemiux and GGG could fight on that undercard vs Chavez Jr. A lot can happen once those sep and may dates are freed by Floyd. If Cotto losses emphatically I dont see him fighting more than 3 times before he (deservedly so) calls it quits on an exciting career.

If anything, I see it more likely Cotto fights Andrade if he loses than with Canelo. Lara isnt getting a rematch ever with Canelo unless he makes enough noise.

Or maybe Cotto would fight Quillin or Lee.
Last I heard of Andrade was when he said that he was considering a move to Al Haymon a few months back, not sure if the deal has been done. Haymon wont put Andrade up for Canelo right now, it's been over a year since Andrade fought. He'll be showcased on PBC first & then I'm guessing he'll be up for Canelo just like Lara. At the same time I'm not sure if Oscar would approve of Andrade if he looks good like Lara.

ghost/Floyd has no bearing on this.

I just can't believe anyone would think Gabe Rosado is an acceptable opponent for Canelo should he beat Cotto. I get we all want fighters we like to win, but that would be a pathetic mismatch that I would think everyone would be against.

          I'd like that fight!

I hope Canelo knocks Cotto out, that'll be his coming out party! And then Golovkin!! And I think Nelo gets stopped by GGG, but his stock will still rise I think. Nelo vs GGG is competitive and I think people will fall in love with both fighters during that one.

I then hope he stays at 160 and GGG moves up.

GGG and Alvarez's best most popular paths are highly visible and I think most of us on here could roughly agree on what direction we'd like to see them both go.

I'm all for the best match-ups being made. But I;ll join you in your delusions of being a real boxing fan & pretend Guerrero, Marquez (who fought at a lower weight before Floyd) & a few other guys Floyd fought has no bearing on this. I guess you have to be an elite fighter to do that.

The topic is what is next for Canelo-who Floyd fought years ago has nothing to do with the thread topic, unless of course you said Floyd is next.

If Canelo fought a ghost or JMM level opponent, lets say ndam/lemuix winner or some other names floated here, I wouldn't complain.

Gabe Rosado isn't winning fights, isn't a world class fighter, and is given fights on HBO solely because he will lose in violent fashion, most likely by KO. He definitely shouldn't be getting a fight with Canelo over some other guys.

              I would think you'd agree.

He'll fight everyone at 155 for the rest of his career.

What an active elite fighter did a few years ago has nothing to do with this topic & that should;nt be used as precedent here for a very young fighter who is likely to play a major role in carrying the sport after Floyd Manny are done? In addition to that you'd be ok with Canelo fighting a good small guy from a lower weight like Floyd did with Marquez? Strange turn of events here. Where do you even come up with this stuff?

You already received my answer to if I'd agree/not agree/which matchups I'd prefer a few times before.

If he beats cotto which I'm sure he will, I'd like to see him fight a lower top 10 middle weight at the full 160 and then take on GGG

I always thought that if somehow, rosado were to beat Lemieux, he was going to get a shot a canelo. At which point, both guys were going to be opponents for canelo. I think rosado is out of the lottery
