    Don't give them ideas, man...

Maybe they'll drag Matthew Hatton out of retirement for a "showcase" stay-busy fight.

Eddie Hearn said in an interview that it looked like he was going to 168, but that he could do 160 for the right fight. I'm guessing Canelo falls into the right fight category.

Or is getting an easy KO all that matters to fans of fighters?
For the very same reason guys like Floyd sometimes fight guys like Guerrero, Maidana & then Maidana again

Atleast we know Canelo Rosado will be entertaining.

If Canelo vs Cotto is a close and exciting fight, there may be a rematch.

Did Floyd fight either at 24/25? Come on dude.

How is watching a non competitive fight, waiting for the inevitable KO of a low skilled non quality opponent, that has no chance to win, entertaining?

Seriously gamefrk, wouldn't you rather watch a fight between Canelo and a quality opponent where the outcome is in not a forgone conclusion and maybe Canelo has to push to get a win?

i wouldn't mind canelo/lemieux at 160. and both guys are with gbp. so it's a doable fight.

The problem there is that Canelo doesn't do 160, only 155. Maybe he'll fight Geale and get him to drain himself all the way down to 155. At this point, Geale will probably do anything for a buck.

After the Cotto fight, I would prefer Canelo vs a quality opponent any day. But at the same time I have good sense to know that quality opponent vs quality opponent thing doesn't happen 100% of the time (not even for top guys like Floyd & Manny). Cotto fight will be a challenge for Canelo, after that if he chooses to fight Rosado at 154 or even at the full 160 limit as a tune up for better 160 opponents I'd be OK with that because even as a tune up it would be hella entertaining coz Rosado is a game guy as opposed to laughables like Salkas, Malignaggis etc.

You keep talking about what's wrong with boxing fans when you yourself expect all fighters to fight the best available guy/competitive guy 100% of the times? Tone down your expectations as a "fan"...it's not gonna happen, it has never happened that way. I;m guessing you skipped most of Floyd's career because a UD win wasn't obvious in most of his fights.

Well if its a very exciting and close fight. I see rematch. But if Canelo gets by him without a problem, hopefully him and GGG get it on.
