GGG to Ward: "You are a dead man to me!"

OMG, the excuses! So, Ward only beat top guy after top guy because he was contractually obligated to do so? And poor Genady just can't catch a break, right? How about he do it right now and set up a fight with Ward? The timing is perfect. Couldn't be more perfect. But I suppose you guys will find other reasons. It's a lot easier to fight the best when you're in a tournament and are contractually obligated to fight them. That's in no way ****ting on Ward so don't even begin to go that route. I respect him and what he's done. But promotional issues or shoulder problems aside, we've seen since then his level of comp. It's harder to continually fight the best when the other person doesn't have to. You can go on with whatever you want to say about Golovkin and his level of comp, or lack thereof probably in your case, but he didn't have the luxury of being in Ward's position to have that kind of chance to prove that he was the best in the division by having a tournament.
Don't be afraid to call BS on a fighter you like. I really like Golovkin but I want to see him take real fights and I'm not going to defend his ducking Ward just because I like him.Comment

I love how GGG is talking Shlt.....Ward vs GGG is gonna become the next Manny/Floyd if they keep it up....which is better for boxingComment

Just keep winning, stay undefeated and keep talking shlt about each other and ducking each other....The fight will become biggerComment

You do not think GGG's resume would be different if he was in a tournament against equal quality competition as was in the Super Six who were unable to duck him and had no choice but to fight him? Do you think that Ward would have had the fights he did if the Super Six tournament had never happened? What if Froch and Kessler and Abraham had refused to fight Ward in the US and those fights had never happened? Where would Ward's resume be then?OMG, the excuses! Ward had advantages that GGG never did and due to that, their resumes really should not be compared unless you remove the Super Six fights from Ward's resume.Comment

Even the Brit commentary crew was shocked at how Froch was getting his ass handed to him. And everyone wants to ignore that Andre did that with a bad hand.Comment

Lol, speaking of delusional... Whether Genady might do something or not is beyond the point. It's about him actually DOING IT. He has a chance to finally do something and he's ducking. He'll take another weak fight while he waits for the smaller guy in Canelo. You do not think GGG's resume would be different if he was in a tournament against equal quality competition as was in the Super Six who were unable to duck him and had no choice but to fight him? And who exactly is he ducking? Chavez Jr who walked away from negotiations? Froch who is going to retire instead of fighting him? Ward who chose to fight Smith and then will go on the hunt for another unranked fighter and will probably not fight again in 2015? Who is Golovkin ducking?Comment

How is Canelo the "smaller guy" than Golovkin? He fights smaller.
But he walks around at 170 (like Golovkin) and is 5' 9" while GGG is 5' 10".
They're about the same size.
In contrast, Ward is 6' 1".Comment
