The days of HBO being the premier boxing channel are coming to a end if it isn't already there. PBC is slaying HBO as far as competitive matches this year and like Insaid earlier PBC will most likely dominate the top 10 ratings for boxing so what will make them the premier boxing Channel? Because you like their house fighters more then PBC fighters ?

It makes no sense for HBO to allow one of their fighters on contract to fight on a PBC platform but it makes sense for the fighters promoters to do so. More exposure & More $.

And where will PBC be when the investor money runs out? HBO will still be here in two years. PBC? Very doubtful.

As for the more $ part of your post, that only applies to Haymon signed fighters on PBC. All others get paid peanuts.

Why are you asking me directly? I don't have a biased opinion when it comes to networks. If PBC ends up putting up great fights on other networks, that's great for the sport and something I would like to see. So far, we haven't seen any great fights made from them yet and Haymon & all his network time buys is a curious strategy to say the least, what his end game is and if he's successful remains to be seen (is he looking for a Fox UFC type deal, etc.). I think whoever is doing their match making could do a lot better imo, especially considering how big his stable is. There have been some real head scratches of fights that make little, if any sense.

      • well if k2 thinks lara and his team are bluffing, call their bluff, say ggg will fight you, let's get together and work out details, it'll be the best name for ggg so far and most likely he'll end up lara early, so call their bluff, unless you are the ones bluffing.

I'll make you a bet. If PBC is around in 2 years to the day You leave this site if they aren't Ill leave.

Your just a bitter lame who wishes PBC fails since day 1 and don't even use reason or judgement for your arguments about GGG or PBC strictly fuelled off GGG semen that you Appearantly buy in bulk.( It's like that South Park episode where Cartman is selling his jizz as defacto Gatorade)

I think Degeale would disagree with your statement. He made a good chunk of change fighting on PBC higher then GGG highest ever payday I beleive. I'm sure if K2 or Main Events decided to be part of the PBC and not strictly suck the nipple of HBO their fighters would be getting career high pay days. Duva wouldn't even go to purse bid for KOv / Stevenson and instead is fighting a bum on HBO probably for peanuts for what he could have made to fight Adonis.

Im not saying your your biased with Networks
I'm just wondering how you can claim HBO are the Premier Boxing Channel? You don't think PBC has had good match ups this year ? Their absolutely slaughtering HBO as far as competitive match ups it's not even close. Thurman / Guerrero Garcia / Peterson. Dirrell/ Degeale. Lee / Quillen. Porter / Broner Possibility of LSC / Mares what Has HBO offered this year as far as competitive fights this year ,I can think of Kov / Pascal. Maybe GGG / Murray

I agree with you though about some questionable match ups but they have so many dates they all cant be HRs

Tom Loeffler already said that they are open to Lara as an opponent, providing that Lara fights at 160 and ...ON HBO!
It's the same ****** **** everyday with you people lol
How is Loeffler or HBO supposed to know whether or not Lara can fight on HBO unless someone from Lara's side let's them know? Phonecall, email, smoke signal. Something other than bull**** callouts and then silence.

                • Title says it all, "No word from Lara and his team."

It is not as simple as that. The final say does not belong to Loeffler or GGG or K2, it belongs to HBO and Haymon. If HBO do not want to feature a Haymon/PBC fighter on their network, they will not approve the fight and if Haymon does not want one of his fighters on HBO, he will not give Lara his permission.

Why is it that some people think that all Golovkin has to do is say 'Yes, I will fight Lara.'? If it were that simple, GGG would have fights signed and lined up for Cotto, Canelo, Quillin, Chavez Jr., Froch and Ward.

Because they are the premier boxing network currently. PBC is new and still growing, they have their shows scattered around on many networks so they don't have one primary network. Some of their cards start on one channel and you have to turn the channel to a different network mid round.

Slaughtered? I don't think I'd go that far, PBC has had some good fights nothing extraordinary by any means. What have been their best fights so far, Thurman vs Guerrero and Khan vs Algieri? Nothing to do backflips over. HBO has had some entertaining fights too at least on par with that Ruslan vs Matthysse, Kovalev vs Pascal, Canelo vs Kirkland, Rios vs Alvarado, GGG vs Murray/Monroe, Crawford vs Dulorme, etc nothing to do backflips over either but there is star power here as well you factor in with Canelo, Cotto and GGG, even Klitschko. All in all HBO is doing fine and so is PBC.
