I'm talking about September because that's when GGG is fighting again.
He is fighting 4 times this year. That is 2 more chances for one of these other "names" to get in the ring.
You seen the GGG article here yesterday.

If K2 chooses to keep lining up fights with Willie Monroe Jr. and Curtis Stevens type guys, that's up to them. As a GGG fan, I want to see him fight the best, and I think Ward should be in the cross-hairs for 2015, and not Lemeuix or N'Dam. It's bad enough he can't fight Haymon guys, now he can't get a fight with Roc Nation? Maybe GGG needs new management!

Golovkin versus Andre Ward seems to be a close second. While Ward and Golovkin both have said that they’ll fight each other, Golovkin’s promoter made it clear in the aftermath of Golovkin’s third-round knockout of Daniel Geale on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden that the dollars might not make sense for Golovkin or Ward.

Golovkin would have to move up from 160 pounds to 168 to make the fight, but that’s not what truly concerns Tom Loeffler, managing director of K2 Promotions.

“That’s a fight that’s going to be tough to make, if only because of the financial situation,” Loeffler said. “Gennady would go to 168. Carl Froch sold 80,000 tickets in Wembley Stadium. That’s a testament to his marketability. Chavez is a proven pay-per-view star. Andre Ward is a terrific fighter and we have a lot of respect for his boxing ability.

“But the finances for that fight doesn’t make sense for Gennady to go up to 168, when there’s so many big names at 160. Andre’s going to want a big chunk of that money. And for Gennady to move up, he’s going to want a big chunk of the money, just like he was going to get to fight Chavez. That was a pay-per-view financial structure, and the money was there to make that fight.”

That was a bad move on K2's part, not Ward! Now it's K2's time to call Roc Nation, and ask for the fight!

I've bolded a different part of that quote for you. Read it, think about it, and remember that Loefler is a promoter, and promoters promote because they want to make money for themselves.

That's why he isn't calling Roc and Roc arn't calling him about this fight.

Roc Nation is not worried about the MW division, they're focused on the LHW division with Beterbiev, Fonfara, Stevenson, Pascal, and Kovalev. There are plenty of fights for Ward. As a GGG fan, i'm worried that he's gonna remain on Amir Khan status. Oscar said Canelo is not going to MW for a "couple of years." Cotto said, in the ring, after the Geale fight, he's "not a MW," so I don't see him fighting GGG anytime soon. Chavez Jr. is with Haymon, not HBO, so he's not fighting GGG, nor is Quillen or Jacobs. So who is left for GGG? It's looking real bleak!

Dan Ambrose: HBO commentator Jim Lampley says he was contacted by the lawyer for WBA Super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14 KOs) who told him that Ward is willing to fight WBA Super World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (31-0, 28 KOs) for a fight.

Presumably, Golovkin would have to move up to super middleweight to face Ward at either a catch-weight or at the full weight in order for the fight to happen.

Lampley believes that Andre Ward or Carl Froch, two of the top super middleweights in the division, might be the direction for Golovkin to go in if he can’t get the top names at middleweight [160] to agree to fight him. Golovkin obviously would prefer to fight Miguel Cotto and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez than Ward, because it would likely be a much bigger fight in terms of money and fan interest. Fights against Cotto and Canelo would be pay-per-view fights on HBO. It’s unclear whether a Golovkin-Ward fight would sell on HBO pay-per-view.

It’s quite possible it would bring in a very, very low number of pay-per-view buys, because neither Ward nor Golovkin have ever fought on pay-per-view before. Ward’s situation is further hurt by his inactivity. Ward hasn’t fought since last year in November when he beat Edwin Rodriguez. In the last two years, Ward has fought just once per year. He fought one time in 2012 and once in 2013. In contrast, Golovkin fought four times in 2013, and three times in 2013.

“If he can’t get a fight at 160, maybe he has to go to 168 a Carl Froch,” Lampley said to HBO. “A representative from Andre Ward’s camp sent me a note this morning that Andre wants to fight him. He’ll fight him anywhere, anyplace, and anytime. A fight against Andre Ward in Southern California would be very marketable. Ward’s lawyer sent me an e-mail today saying he’ll fight him wherever,” Lampley said.

That email has been disowned and discredited by Virgil Hunter, who said that neither he nor Andre knew anything about it and that Andre would need a couple of tune ups before fighting GGG.
