                  ... this is a mandatory defense which isn't really mandatory -- "premiere' fights trump mandatory fights.

                      Sadly, the WBC complied with Wilder's request to delay the negotiations until October.
                      Of course, it would have been Wilder's management who asked for the mandatory to be delayed, not Wilder himself.

                      But I wonder, did they tell him about that, or does he sincerely believe that it's Povetkin who is stalling and holding things up?
