And in case you think I'm just some Wilder-jocking hack let's look at some sample fights for comparison.
Let's look at the punch stats for Povetkin-Huck and Wilder-Stiverne (Two 12 round fights)
Povetkin against Huck
Total punches: 172/561 - 31%
Jab: 41/213 - 19%
Power punches: 131/348 - 38%
Wilder against Stiverne
Total punches: 227/621 - 37%
Jab: 120/420 - 29%
Power Punches: 207/201 - 53%
Wilder also has a much higher KO ratio, a good indication he hits with far more power.
I think we can safely see Wilder will jab Povetkin into next week until he lands the big one.
Then all the Sasha lovers can go back to worshiping the Eurostiffs they love so much while Wilder goes on to bigger and better things..
For one you only compared two fights and that doesn't tell much of anything. But unfortunately for you you don't have much of a sample size. And why? Simply because Povetkin has consistently fought a much higher level of competition. Therefore overall you really cannot compare the two.
In my opinion the fact that all Stiverne did was follow Wilder around the ring and threw an occasional wild punch has to be taken into consideration. Dang, my Grandmother may have even out landed Stiverne if she fought him that night.
The fact that Sasha was fat and out of shape and gassed pretty early against Huck also has to taken into account. And once again I wonder if you truly watch the sport of boxing. Just to make it clear I am not a Povetkikn fan and I am also not a Wilder Hater.

Povetkin fought Huck eons ago and it's not relevant to use this fight as a comparison.
Povetkin has reinvigorated his career since the Klitschko loss; since the loss he's faced 3 highly ranked contenders and he's KO'd 'em all. That's definitely something to be concerned about if your Jay Deas or any other member of Team Wilder.
I want to see Wilder face Povetkin but I don't fault his team for procrastinating the fight. They need to work out all the flaws/kinks in his game before getting into the ring with a world beater like PovektinLast edited by BWC; 06-17-2015, 02:25 PM.

Comparing fights gives one a good idea how a fighter fights and what the output looks like. It's a very relevant way to look at fighters..

And if you don't understand that I honestly don't care!

So in the meantime, Wilder is going to pick some guys to go some rounds. WTF is the problem??!!
