    Retirement seems imminent.

I can only laugh at people who mention 'ducking' when talking about Carl Froch. It is hilarious. A guy who has fought the biggest and best super middleweight's all over the world is scared of a middleweight with no notable victories? Yeah, ok.

In that case, you make a counter offer or at least you communicate with the other side. In this case, even Froch's own promoter has not been in contact with him. This is not a case of not liking the offer, it is a case of Froch deciding whether or not to retire. His decision may not have anything to really do with Golovkin per se, but the risk of fighting such a fighter may have helped Froch put things into perspective and realize that it is time to hang up the gloves once and for all.

        You heard it here first!!!
Dont make me pull up those incriminating Froch quotes. You know, we'll swerve him if we can, punches like a mule, dangerous fight...

GGG is going to feast on Cotto or Canelo. If he fights anyone as a 'step a-side' fight when Cotto faces Canelo...then it won't be someone like Froch. It will be a 'stay busy' fight.

So you are basically saying that Froch is retiring because "hes scared of GGG doe" "Froch doesnt want to fight GGG doe"?

Everyone uses the resume excuse for why fighters aren't "afraid" of Golovkin, but that is the past and this is the present, I have too much respect for Froch to say he is afraid of Gololvkin, but Froch isn't looking for a difficult fight anymore, he is obviously hesitant about facing Golovkin or even getting in the ring again. He is thinking about retirement and I don't blame him.

Gotta love how Ward and Lara are Cotto fan boys' new second favourite fighters

The Cobra can do whatever the hell he wants. He's earned the right. If he never steps in the ring again, he's already a HOFer who deserves nothing less than our complete respect.
