Try following boxing outside of what HBO or Showtime tells you.
N'Dam turned down a $300,000 offer from his promoter and this fight went to purse bids.
Just another dumbass decision in a long line of dumbass decisions from this ****house.

He thought he was worth over 300 grand. What he found out is that he isn't. How does that kill the sport. Like any other job in the world, you are worth what someone is willing to pay for you. People leave jobs all the time to seek out more money, do you think that always works out? No, it's a risk and N'Dam's didn't pay off.

Haymon is paying his fighters ultra inflated purses right now because he is isn't looking to turn a profit right now, he's looking for a big payoff at the end (also he's not spending his money). I can't imagine it will last forever. He is paying guys a million dollars to fight club level fighters.

This is the way I look at it as well... $300,000 was a lot of money, even after deductibles he was going to be walking away with over $100,000 much more than he's getting now.

Sound like his own team put him in a tough spot. Not sure if they was able to get the judges changed, I doubt it. This on top of a Low Ball Payday All he can do it go out and try to embarrass Lemieux in front of his own fans like Marco Antonio Rubio did and leave no doubt so if he gets robbed on the Cards it will only make Lemieux look bad.

Walking away from a fight like this with only $51K is Embarrassing! This is why I'm always on the fighters side. They should always try to make the most they can when they can. You have to be selfish in the sport of boxing because the Promoters, Networks and Fans are. Your the one taking punches to the face not the Promoters, Networks or Fans so make your money to secure the future of your family while you can. Because if you end up like Magomed Abdusalamov, the Fans, Promoters and Network are not going to take care of your family!

I agree with you 100%, these same people whine about Haymon but at least he maximizes the revenue of his fighters instead of crap like this. N'Dam won't even take home 20% of his own purse.
