N'Dam should of just pulled out of the fight if he had a problem with the money but it's a bit late now.

Personally I'm hoping to see this fight Saturday, but if N'Dam goes through with this fight for that money, he's likely going to have nothing to show for it. Lemieux's not losing a decision here (fair or otherwise) and he's got a good chance at getting a stoppage. And that'll be karma for N'Dam for ducking Golovkin when they shared the WBA title, and then ducking Pirog for Bursak for the WBO title.

If N'dam wins he's going for the biggest offer... might go for a Quillin Rematch. Can't unify with Jacobs because WBO doesn't recognize him as the real champ, like when Glolovkin was looking at Pirog

This is beyond ridiculous to blame your financial situation on the promoter of the other fighter your facing. Mad about your purse blame your own promoter. Mad only golden boy put in a purse bid? Blame your own promoter who refused to offer a bid on your behalf. This has nothing to do with Golden Boy. You turned down 300k and you been beefing with your own promoter and they didn't pony up. Golden Boy has no responsibility to look out for you. They work for Lemieux which is why he is getting more the purse bid offer. This guy has a terrible management team and promoter and is projecting his anger in the wrong direction.

The only logical reason his promoters did not bid was because he was a headache to deal with and was refusing to take the fight at the suggestion of his promoter. He turned down more money and obviously his promoter felt why put in a purse bid for a fight they thought wasn't going to happen. But all the talk he was doing of passing on a chance at the title because the money was too low was a foolish bluff, golden boy put in the bid despite all that and now he looks dumb fighting for much less then the money he turned down. Again he and his team and promoters are not on the same page. Its a clown show. He got bad advice from his manager to turn down the offer. And he wasn't honest and up front with his promoter so they didn't bid. No one to blame but yourself and your team around you.

This is like a free agent at the start of offseason getting a multi year offer from his former team but turning it down bluffing that he will sign with another team. The other team doesn't bite and instead of offering a higher counter offer they move on. And this guy doesn't get another offer from another team months go by and now he is desperate and goes back to team but now the original offer is no longer on the table and you sign for the vet minimum 1 year contact lol

I don't get why fans castigate N'Dam to such an extent. But more than the particulars here, obviously the process is wrong when one boxer gets roughly 40% of $51,000 - that is $20,000 from a pot of $3 million plus broadcasting rights and sponsorship - can we say at least $4 million? I have no problem with promoters taking a very large chunk but a fight for a middleweight championship and one of the competitors gets $20,000 and the other will have $400,000 + in his pocket? How we got to this stage is somewhat immaterial, what is relevant is that such a scenario can occur.
It does smack of a conspiracy of promoters. The only location this fight makes financial sense is Montreal and I suspect N'Dam's promoter knew that even before the first $300,000 offer was made, an offer that he already knew N'Dam would not be happy with. I also suspect he spoke with GB prior to even making that first $300,000 offer. They conspired to cook up a stink and N'dam's promoter instead of risking money putting on an unattractive promotion is getting paid by GB to sit on the sidelines.
Really, boxing is screaming out for an administrative body.

I am sure that in the wording of N'Dams contract with his promoter that there is some wording to the effect that said promoter will promote signed boxer to the very best of their ability. How is it that a billionaire promoter therefore cannot even put in an offer on a purse bid. Sure, maybe he was 'punishing' his fighter - but if that was the case is he then promoting N'Dam to the best of his (the promoter's) ability?

No conspiracy his promoter tried to pay him 300k he turned his own promoter down saying he wouldn't fight for that amount. His promoter was not going to increase his pay and felt the fight was not going to happen so didn't even follow through with the process of bidding. At the time many outlets reported the fight would never take place because he was fighting with his own promoter. It was a bluff and golden boy put in the minimum bid and Ndam was forced to either take that amount which is less then the original 300k offer or lose out on a title shot. He is forced to put his tail between his legs he should of took the 300K

Yeah his career high purse was 400k for Quillin but he then was bringing a belt.

50k is terrible of course, but afaik he was gonna get extra from his promoter. 300k is fine, you gotta remember NDam brings zero fans unlike Lemieux in Montreal.
