Most of the boos are well deserved, the majority have failed to adapt to prize fighting, it's rare to see cuban boxers throwing more than 3 punches at a time, even if the first 2 connect, they either stop or take a step back, part of the amateur thinking of getting your points and prevent the other boxer for getting his, even those that have a good % of ko's most are result of a well placed punch not the accumulation of punches in a combination; of course there are exceptions but that's the norm which combined with the failure to try to learn the language make them appear distant and difficult to relate to by the general public.

Why Is It That Cuban Boxers Are Always Consistently Getting Boo'ed

Remember how Fat Dan Rafeal crapped on Rigondeaux performance against Donaire? That was terrible, he's just pro Top Rank since they give him free food.
Cuban fighters will be crapped on but you have to blame their opponents as well for looking lost in the ring and being so inactive. Ring Generalship is a lost art, I tried to explain to a friend of mines what ring generalship and he looked at me like "**** that gay ****" lol. You use understand a sport before giving a honest opinion

Most of them fight in a boring style. It's as simple as that. I always laugh to myself when so-called boxing purists bemoan the ignorant boxing fans who complain about hitting without getting hit. These people forget that boxing is about entertainment and I am sorry but in most of his fights Rigondeaux, who is perhaps the best example of why Cuban's get booed, does not provide that. I don't mind defensive boxing - in fact I am a pure boxer myself with a hell of a lot more amateur experience than 99% of the people on this forum - but even pure boxers have to provide entertainment if they want to win fans. It's not about being a brawler and getting hit unnecessarily, but when fighters who can knock people out never go for it it is very frustrating. Rigondeaux is a great puncher but often wins by decision because of his boring style. Rigondeaux is a moron as he complains about his lack of fans - it's not about how good he is and being avoided it's just that he's not a draw because he's boring. Lara is boring as hell too.
