cause people only appreciate the violence in boxing not the sport of it all

... Even those who understand the "Cuban school" would enjoy more touches of "show" -- eventually, boxing is also about providing good entertainment to the public.

Sometimes it's just plain hard to watch your fighter get picked apart and not have the skill to change **** and adapt.
Safety first fighters generally can outbox most guys. From the get go they make the opponent have to adjust. In a way it's smart!!
But at the end of the day it's styles that make fights. A runner can be in an exciting fight but it tends to be on what the other dude can bring to the table.

As for lara, how long has he fought the style he does??? Yet people still complain. If lara was to fight like a dog in his next fight and got ko'd in the 6th do you really think he would get any more respect or fans? Doubt it!! Most on here would prob say that's what he gets for running all them years!!

I really dont know, I love the style most Cubans fight with.

Gamboa is my favourite fighter, although he jumped weight classes and altered his style to please the fans and the weight jump has cost him. He can box anyone from 126-135's ears off, but always stops doing it to exchange instead: he was even outboxing a very good and much bigger fighter in Crawford with relative ease until he foolishly decided to have a war with the much bigger guy.

Rigondeaux is a master, he's one if the most skilled and technically perfect boxers you'll ever see. Lara is not quite as good as those two, but still very good.

Why are we watching boxing and booing at the boxer????

Its because we are getting dumber and dumber everyday. There are books about this. But most westerners don't read

Lara deserved to get booed - he had a washed up opponent in front of him that at this point in his career was just looking to survive. He could have gotten him out of there at any point, but carried him for 12.

I'm a viewer and I'm like, let's get this show started, knock him out so I can get on with my day. Rodriguez's day as a viable challenger have long past, so if I'm on my seat watching TV just agonizing over this, I can imagine watching this live and falling asleep in the stands.

He was given a ME slot and he used that to stink up the joint - he had a PPV slot and stunk up the joint. You can be a masterclass boxer and still step on the gas.

The real issue is simple - the Angulo fight has this dude gun shy, he took those bombs to the chin and hit the canvas and he isn't trying to live that life anymore. Safest route possible is what he's aiming for.

And that's perfectly fine, just don't expect me to waste my Saturday night watching him vs an overmatched cherry picked opponent for 12 rounds. At least when the big boys, the true elites fight these tune-ups, they do what elites do, and that's KO them and close the show. Lara simply isn't elite. He's very good and very boring. On to the next one

I highly doubt that that many people have something against cubans in general but seems like everytime a cuban boxer fights the place gets restless and boos them.
You're a ***n moron. A xenophobe in the mold of many who've been perma-banned before you. I'm onto your agenda you little betch.

Lara is living proof, that a promoter or manager can only do so much.

they (Lara and Rigo) have no interest in knocking people out and the audience are only interested in seeing people getting knocked out.
