Ward's last 7 opponents : rodriguez - dawson - froch - abraham - bika - green - kessler. Beat them when he was 25 to 29 years old.

Do you really want me to name the guys that GGG was fighting at 27 years old ? He's 33 and he wasting his time fighting crap **** opposition while avoiding any fight that could propel him in the top 5 p4p.
What fights exactly has Golovkin avoided? Has he been offered any kind of fight, ever, against a top 5 or top 10 p4p fighter? He hasn't. There had never been an offer from Ward who hasn't fought the past two years, there hasn't been an offer from anyone else. What we've had is a guy in Lara who is with Haymon say he'd like to fight Golovkin but nothing was offered and we have Ward saying he'd fight Golovkin but nothing was ever offered. Golovkin can't avoid guys he hasn't been able to fight. He reached out to Sturm, Martinez, Cotto, Canelo, Froch and Chavez. Not a whole lot more he can do here other than fight who is available and willing.

Exactly. GGG is content fighting in the tomato can division or acting badass by calling out smaller fighters. He should lead by example and fight Ward.

2015: A few months later, no buzz for his upcoming fight at 172!! "Golovkin is ducking me, golovkin has excuses, golovkin this, golovkin that"

Same folks who accused Pacquaio of doing this to Floyd now find it ok that Ward is using Golovkin to keep his own name buzzing with no plans on actually accepting a fight.

        THE END!!

This is what kills me. People are acting like he's fighting B level guys because he wants to.
He pressed Sturm for years, pressed Martinez, they wouldn't fight him.

Now he has to move up to satisfy people. If he fights Lara, it's gonna be oh he's picking on smaller guys. He needs to move up.

At least with Ward, because of the super six those guys wanted to fight him and had incentive to fight Ward.

Where is Ward fighting his next fight on? HBO? NO. They had to buy their own time on BET because both HBO and Showtime rejected Ward's proposals to show his tune up fights. There is a big difference in giving the OK to fight Monroe at 350K and fighting Ward for what would probably be well over 5 million for his purse alone. It's not going to happen. Ward wanted 2 million each for three tune ups. What do you think he would ask to fight GGG? There is no audience for Ward and he wants too much money. A Ward - GGG fight is only viable as a PPV and at this point in time, even the townies in Oakland wouldn't pay to see it. When Ward has made his name again, then he will be a viable option. Until then he is nothing but a name from the past living on past glories.

Not to mention that Ward has stated that he will need at least two, maybe three, tune up fights before taking on a major opponent. For some reason, his fans always ignore this as if Ward would jump up and down if a GGG fight was offered.

Get it through your heads... Ward is no longer a major factor in boxing. He needs to fight at least two solid contenders and get significant victories over them before he becomes relevant again. And a 12 round, points decision is not a significant victory. If he does not knock out Smith in under 5 rounds, Ward should just retire and walk away.
so what it gives him the ability to fight a big name if he wins hes a superstar dont u get it

            • Ward is fighting a 168 pounder ranked number 32nd in the world and making the guy come up 4 pounds. The fight is in Oakland as are most Ward fights. Ward can break rules and hold and hit all fight without even a warning in Oakland. Ward knocks GGG's opposition but everyone GGG fights is better and higher ranked than Paul Smith. What a hypocrite.

Andre Ward was p4p no.2 before his period of inactivity and when he gets back in the ring at world level, he will be elevated to that position again. Having watched Froch in his fights versus Groves and Froch, I am certain he has regressed and Ward would undoubtedly stop him. As for GGG, would he take a single round against a truly elite level fighter his own size ? The fight against Monroe I had him losing round upon rounds, cold hard truth be GGG may very well have reached his ceiling, hence why he is targeting JMW's.
Andre Ward is a **** talking ****eyed f@ggot

GGG and Canelo are both the same size on fight night.

Right. It's been a tricky situation for Golovkin for a while. I mean he's been struggling to land guys like Lemieux, N'dam, Quillin (before the HBO/Haymon fued) and guys like that. Hell, his debut HBO fight was originally scheduled against Dmitry Pirog who no one wanted to fight either (but got injured in training). N'dam was ordered to fight GGG on two separate occasions but he backed out both times and dropped out both times. All these guys have been avoiding tough fights, not Golovkin. The Quillin's and Lemieux's of the world, unfortunately boxing is full of guys like this unwilling to fight the best, or at least their managers/promoters are. So GGG's subpar resume certainly isn't by lack of effort. If it was up to him he'd have fought all these guys by now and be unified champ.
