    Ok,
One GGG is not killing any skilled fighter like Cotto who has fought every style in boxing. Two if Cotto vacates or Canelo if he beats Cotto, GGG's career will be left in a stand still. Why because his new found popularity is based on the notion that he is being avoided by Cotto, and oh yea he fights Mexican style. Canelo is mexican in case you guys have forgotten and the star of Mexican style boxing lol.

And Cotto fought an "old injured Martinez and a weight drained Geale" but that still qualifies him as establishing himself as a MW. No wait, it's actually the physical title that does it.
He is holding the middleweight title hostage......Either let it go if you don't want to defend it against a live champion or fight him.

Canelo hasn't established himself at 160 I'm not calling for him to fight GGG - in the future perhaps. Though 155 doesn't exactly qualify as LMW.

As for Ward that's a fight I hope is made in the future. Ward isn't exactly fighting at SMW either.

GGG panders/manipulates the Mexican fanbase. Abel Sanchez is a wise man...$$

Also, GGG does not get punched in the face enough to have the real "Mexican style..."

Golovkin is a coward for wanting to fight the linear MW champ.

Ward is totally not a coward for wanting to fight a guy who's never fought above 160, is 3 inches shorter, far less experienced and less talented.

All I see are a bunch of Floyd stans angry that their hero can't cherry pick the linear MW belt and ride off into the sunset TBE. Teaming up with Cotto stans that despise GGG for getting in the way of potential megafights with Canelo and Floyd, for making their boy look like a coward and a fraud.

Both of you can stay salty. :floyd:
              Exactly. They're pathetic.

GGG and Canelo are the same size. I think they will fight eventually.

Cotto is a bit smaller than both but nobody forced him to grab a MW belt.

All he has to do to take the heat off of him is step aside. It's really that simple.

I feel like he's a giant piece of debris left over from the Floyd/Manny saga that somehow landed in the middle of the middleweight division and won't let traffic through.

Being the third man in that saga made him big enough to be the "A-side" in other divisions problem is he isn't actually in those divisions.

Even Quillin was a better MW titlist. He finally stepped up and drew with Lee. Not a great result but better than stinking up the place.

what's so hard to understand here Kev?

Cotto and Canelo both bring something to the fight that benefits GGG

Ward doesn't, Lara doesn't, they bring pure risk (according to some people), and no reward

You can sit here and say "GGG doesn't deserve a money fight until he's proven himself first", but the fact is he's getting paid handsomely by HBO regardless of who he's fighting and he's developing a massive fanbase even with a weak resume. This means he has the right to aim for lucrative fights before 'resume building' fights. He's tried getting those big names at 160 but none are willing to step up. Right now, it looks like the only possibility at 160 will be the winner of N'dam/Lemieux which IMO would be the best opponent GGG has faced thus far.

Instead of naming unknown guys a division below him who bring literally nothing to the table (Lara), or guys a division above him who bring literally nothing to the table (Ward), tell me again why you can't understand why he wants the Cottos/Canelos/Frochs/Chavez' of the world? You can't be this thickheaded

GGG is 33 years old and is done growing, he might move to 168 at some point just because it becomes harder for him to maintain a healthy LBM within 160lbs at his age but in the end, he's a middleweight just like Matthysse is a 140lb guy and will most likely never be able to move to welterweight unless he's like 36-37 years old and just can't maintain that LBM anymore

Ward is probably a LHW at this point, so let's be real here, that's two divisions about GGG not one. He's fighting above SMW next, and probably again after that.
