Canelo has doubts about beating Cotto and he should.
This talk of plan B, C, D, E... Sounds like the deadlines duck all over again.Comment

LOL says the person who overreacts to my post that was completely un emotional.
It's ok, I understand you kids don't get the business of boxing. Don't worry, they will posture, they will argue but in the end they will fight.Comment

Look, if you want to be sceptic and don't want to believe that it will be made then don't do it. I'm pretty sure that this will be made in this year and I don't think that anybody should freaking out because they have B and C plans.I'm salty? How is having a plan B and C smart if they've been calling out Cotto for how long? They get Cotto to say he's next and they have a plan B and C? You have Cotto's fat friend saying money is not an issue this time in making the fight and they still have a plan B or C? I thought this fight was basically done, now it's not?
I'm going to believe Cotto when he says Canelo is next, he's never said **** like that before. If Canelo doesn't want none because it's not in Sept or Texas, he never wanted the fight in the first place. Already looking for another opponent shows they really don't want the fight... Well, Cotto's performance probably showed them that.Comment

You know what else that shows? That Cotto has been a PPV attraction for the past 8 years, with Canelo just getting there a few years ago.Dont forget these numbers:

November 10, 2007 -- Cotto vs. Mosley 400,000
July 26, 2008 -- Cotto vs. Margarito 450,000
November 14, 2009 -- Pacquiao vs. Cotto 1,250,000
March 12, 2011 -- Cotto vs. Mayorga 250,000
December 3, 2011 -- Cotto vs. Margarito II 600,000
May 5, 2012 -- Mayweather vs. Cotto 1,500,000
June 7, 2014 -- Cotto vs. Martinez 350,000
------------------------------------------------
September 13, 2013 -- Mayweather vs. Canelo 2,200,000

"I never said anything about the weight doe. So I'll spin it like Cotto is going to be 2 pounds under the weight the fight is at, that's what I meant lol." Sure you did.Man, I love fans who have no clue about the business of boxing. Canelo's people would be idiots to just have Cotto as plan A, B and C. Of course they are going to try and seem like they have many options, but we all know Cotto and Canelo need each other to get a maximum payday.
These are the games managers and promoters play to get leverage in these types of situations. My fear is that Cotto is going to demand a fight only in NYC, and that won't cut it for Canelo and the promoters IMO.
The best option would be Texas, since it would create a huge gate. Then Las Vegas of course which I think is where the fight will take place.
In the end, I believe Canelo to be the A side, and Cotto to be the A1 side. Both top fighters but Canelo can generate more money everywhere except NYC.
Then we have to discuss the weight....lolLast edited by Beater_of_ass; 06-10-2015, 11:05 AM.Comment

Im excited for foght but i doubt it happens next. Oscar has filled this boys head with delusions of self entitlement and now that ego has gotten out of control.
Huge huge canelo fan but cotto is the A-side and this kid should be quiet and let his team get him the fight.Comment

First of all Mexico doesn't have PPV's all the fights are shown for free so population has nothing to do with PPV sales...second Puerto Rico is not a country it's a colony of the US that is why Puerto Ricans are all US citizens at birth so since they belong to the US the population is over 300 million for you American citizens. Canelo did more vs Angulo than Cotto did vs Martinez who has a name.....Canelo is a bigger draw just because Cotto stepped up doesn't mean anything he lost all the big fights he was in except for maybe Mosley.Comment
