Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is looking forward to getting in the ring with WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto in the fall.

Everything is in order, with Canelo destroying James Kirkland in three rounds last month in Texas and Cotto returning last weekend in New York to stop Daniel Geale in four.

Canelo's manager, Eddy Reynoso, is not taking any chances. On two occasions they attempted to make a fight with Cotto and both times they were unsuccessful. Last year Cotto passed on a guarantee of $10 million to face Sergio Martinez. And their discussions once again fell apart earlier this year after Cotto was unsatisfied with the financial terms.

Plan B & C don't involve Triple G...keep fighting at 155 and saying you aren't a MW yet Canelo..your fans can keep pushing the lie: "Canelo will fight anybody."

If the Cotto fight falls through, Canelo can have the WBC create the 155lb diamond-catch weight championship and he can fight another 147-154 lber at 155 and come in the ring close to 180 LBS...nbd
