Cotto said on live TV that Canelo is next and these clowns are trying to negotiate other fights "just in case"? Aka, were setting a deadline that you wont make so we don't have to fight you.

If the Cotto fight falls through, Canelo can have the WBC create the 155lb diamond-catch weight championship and he can fight another 147-154 lber at 155 and come in the ring close to 180 LBS...nbd
You called it. Canelo really owes it to himself to fight at middleweight as cutting to make 155 or so can't be good for him long term. If none of his retinue will be honest with him about how damaging severe weight cutting over the long haul can be, then Canelo has to make the decision for himself for if nothing else is true, Muhammad Ali's career proved that a fighter cannot trust anybody but himself if he is to avoid being exploited (by supposed advisors and friends).

Cotto is the A side only in his own mind. Fact is Canelo is the bigger star and bigger draw. Don't believe me who pulled bigger TV rating for HBO? Who pulled bigger Ppv buys vs Mayweather? Who sells more seats and fills bigger arenas? Cotto lost Trout in a half filled MSG a few months later Canelo beats Trout in front of 40,000. And it's a fact Cotto has already turned down a fight with Canelo twice despite having career high payday on the table. Canelo is the A side and having a backup plan is just smart when dealing with Cotto. He needs Canelo more then Cotto needs him. Canelo is young with many years left cotto is getring old and cant waste another year doing nothing. Cotto if he don't fight Canelo has to fight GGG or get stripped.

The last time the Canelo team said that they accepted all of Cotto's terms but they decided on the date, location and promotion. That don't sound like a negotiation when they were so focused in getting May 2. They didn't have patience and could not wait until the May/Pac fight was signed because Cotto was a possible for either guy.

He we go again with dead lines, I can't fault him for having a plan B but once you go C they are willing to let the fight go.

Canela la Diva trying to duck King Cotto once again! What a ducking queen and his fans will come and claim that The King is the one lmao!!

You may be able to rematch Jose Cotto and bring him back from 140lbs like you did last time...no, no I know!!! 140lb Matysse! That's what its, since De La Hoya was saying a few weeks ago that Matysse was a good match for Canelo! P

                    Stop ducking and fight Cotto.

                      Agreed with the bold!

But hey, his hardcore Canelotards swallowed the story and ran with it and tried to blame Team Cotto!

Its called a Caneloduck, ducking while blaming the other team for it. lol!
