Floyd Mayweather is a marketing genius. Floyd will will stink up the joint in his next fight and yet, he will still make more money than Alvarez, Cotto and Floyd's opponent combined.

Floyd has beaten both and will make more than both Cotto and Canelo. Now does saying this mean that Floyd won't actually stink up the joint like has in the last 2 fights??? I think not.

Against Khan or Brook? I know Mayweather can carry a PPV on his own but he usually has a Mexican or Hispanic opponent to draw in that crowd. Most of them I'd think would watch Canelo-Cotto. Either way, both PPVs would suffer.

cotto canelo will beat anything mayweather does september 12 but their is something known as "professional courtesy" and Mayweather has earned that respect and I believe this is HBO paying respect.

lol HBO don't give a damn about Floyd. If they were to switch it for any pro-Floyd reason, it would be in the hope of a Pacquiao rematch.

If they were smart, they would put the fight, the week before the Floyd fight, that's how you hurt Floyd.

I don't think it's a myth. Mexicans buy PPV because they want to see their guy beat Mayweather. But if he's not fighting a Mexican, they'll watch Canelo-Cotto. Mayweather might make up for it with UK PPV sales.
