GGG needs to leave his sh it promoter and sign with a real promoter that will get him better fights. GGG will lose to Ward, kovalev, Stevenson and probably bhop but he murks Cotto Canelo, Froch, Peterson, and others. When GGG loses he won't be considered a bum IMO. He will move up in weight and challenge home all by early next year IMO.
So many haters want him to fight Ward o watch him lose and come out with that bs being exposed crap

I'm saying that in DeGale's debut on US TV, he got a better win and earned more money in a single night than Golovkin has in his entire career. Just stating facts. DeGale is much younger than Golovkin too.

I don't know why Golovkin's team think they have some kind of entitlement to turn their noses up at fighters like DeGale especially after saying they would KO anyone from 154-168
I am not sure how you think Degale made more fighting Dirrell than GGG made in his entire career? Degale got 1m pounds. GGG just made $1.5m to fight Willie Munroe Jr. Not sure of your maths, but that is equal money, so unless GGG fought for free his entire career, I don't think you should be doing anyones taxes.

I don't. That's why I said "for a single fight". Which I explained throughout the thread

DeGale got $1.55m which is more than Golovkin has earned for a single fight in his entire career.

Some people conveniently leave out that Golovkin receives foreign tv revenues that have put his per fight earnings over $1mill for over a year now, back when HBO was paying him well under a mill. He receives tv revenue from UK, Mexico, Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan, and multiple other countries.

In addition he receives a substantial chunk of the gate. He's co-promoted by K2 as his own promoter - GGG Promotions which he formed after breaking from Universum so that he could put on his own fights while waiting for his court date to officially break from Universum.

In comparison, fighters like DeGale get a lump check from Haymon. So lets piss off with this DeGale makes more/worth more fantasy BS.

Golovkin fans are so defensive. I was just stating a fact about fight purses. I never said DeGale was worth more or whatever.

It's just a bit sad that in one night, he got a bigger purse and better win than Golovkin ever has.

You said earned, implying everything considered. Not just the purse.

I didn't go into what DeGale earned for UK tv revenue etc etc. I was clearly talking about the purses.

Someone was confused, so it wasn't all that clear.

Anyway, why does what any fighter make come into the discussion? Poor Gennady might not be able to afford feeding his family at a measly $4-5M a year. Clearly he's hurting economically. Get him that mega fight with DeGale so he can afford some bread crumbs!

GGG clearly wants a mega fight to launch him to the next stage, DeGale doesn't do that for him. Chavez didn't want to get in with him for $7M, Froch doesn't seem to want to get in with him. Cotto has Canelo next. What other big names are there for him?

Additionally, I'll preemptively mention Ward since I know that that's coming. Mention a big name that people care about outside of the boxing circle. Cotto, Canelo, Chavez Jr and Froch are names that even casuals know.

                  I'll wait.

Put Golovkin in with Quillin for instance, and that purse would be much larger.

Smart move. Golovkin doesn't have what it takes to compete at 168. Degale would beat him, probably by knockout, same with Froch and Ward would embarrass him.
