What are the gate revenue for these fights? What is GGG's total PPV revenue? It's all about rev.

Cotto is a 4 division champ - fact, though what title did he have at 154? Nobody will remember even who he beat, as it was a bum. Middleweight, Cotto beat Martinez, and most experts do not rate that as high as the fans do.

What I'm getting at, is that most ppl will be remembered by which big fights they were in and WHO they beat.......and its a proven fact that people normally remember the big fights and the other great fighters that a fighter beat.

One fact with Cotto is that whenever he has really stepped up and faced A+ opposition (in their prime), he was KO'd or outpointed. This doesn't mean Cotto isn't a great, his accomplishments at 140-147 for me will be remembered as he was very exciting at the A- level, but not A+.

      A- : Trout Loss (Points)
      A - : Mosley win
A- : Clottey win (controversial decision)

      A+ : Margarito Loss (KO'd)
      A+ : Pacquia Loss (KO'd)
A+ : Floyd Mayweather Loss (Points)
GGG doesn't have time for anything. He is 33, 1 year younger than Cotto and hasn't done anything of note in boxing. GGG is like 2 years away from being past prime, amd his career just blew up in like 2012. He's a fad, nothing else. His reign will be short, probably 4-5 years compared to the usual 10-15 year career that elite fighters have.

I agree. He started too late and thats a fact.

A lot has to do with geography and where people are from. If Cotto wasn't Puerto Rican and was from the Kazakhstan he probably wouldn't be fighting anymore as the judges would most likely have given many of those close decisions to the American fighters. Thats the reality of boxing.

The way I see it with greats, I always ask myself this whether someone was really a GREAT or not...I ask "what top 10 P4P prime fighter did he beat?" ...the reality is, Cotto and GGG are yet to claim one of those victories. If GGG moved up and did beat Ward or Froch, then maybe you can say he at least achieved one.

How about we get away from PPV? It might make a few people more money but it hurts the sport. Do you think the NBA or NFL would be doing better if it was on PPV? I don't.

PPV is not a measure of how good someone is.

We aren't arguing about how good someone is. We're arguing about star quality.

                Cotto may be a Diva.

But in a way he has eared the right to be one...

I don't agree with all the catch-weight BS but he is a bigger draw than GGG.

Don't mean he is a superior boxer and won't beat him either.

Then why is ODLH wants to come out of retirement and fight GGG rather than the big start Cotto?

I have no idea, but I'd be willing to bet that Cotto is more likely fight GGG than ODLH is...

Oscar is not making a comeback, he just misses the attention.
