    Great Fight.....

Great performance from my boy tonight. He and Manny are the last of a dying breed. They make Floyd's fighting style look gay. Cotto is back and on a mission as I stated before the fight. He has a chip on his shoulder and he believes in his power again. The jury is still out on GGG. GGG needs to take out a Super Middleweight to really make a statement. A fight with Froch is what he needs. After he retires Froch, he should focus on opponents his size. Maybe call out Ward at 168. As for the Cotto/Canelo fight, it will be a great fight. I won't pick because I like them both. It's a winnable fight for both. If Cotto can take Canelo's punch, he can win. Canelo is now ready to enter the A Level of boxing. He is younger, stronger, as smart, and he can take a great shot. He is the common sense pick in that fight.

I'm interested to see how Canelo reacts to Cotto's jab.

There is no doubt Cotto has looked sensational.

That said, this has a feeling of the Raoch-Pac run that while dependent in Pacs skill, it was also about carefully chosen, weight affected opponents. Whenever Pac stepped up the class - JMM or Bradley -- he lost or didnt look great.

I wonder what happens when Cotto faces someone of similar class.

So, looks great, but isnt that what carefully designed opponents are supposed to do? Make you look so good you forget they were picked?

Not hating, really, he has looked p4p top 8 or so. Just doubts learned from Roachs previous run

Most fighters struggle to make weight in their perspective division, I think drained gets thrown around too loosely here. Didn't matter the weight, Geale never had a shot and I got what I expected.

Golovkin beats that Diva to a Bloody Pulp with relative ease. I doubt that Cotto could beat Andy Lee, David Lemiux, Peter Quillin, or Hassan N'Dam for that matter.
Come on brush....... easier than kirkland??? Cotto doesnt fight like that.

He's simply too big, skilled and strong for Cotto, and has learned much since virtually choking against Mayweather. Should be a good fight, but Alvarez wipes Cotto once he hurts him.
You mean since Floyd drained the kid? He was clearly drained in that fight. Why do you think he wouldn't let his hands go? Because of Floyd? Nope. Learn about the Science of boxing. He was afraid of tiring because he didn't have the energy required to fight aggressively. If they fight right now, without a catch weight, Floyd gets KO'ed. Canelo knew exactly how he wanted to fight Floyd, but was drained. You see how he fought Lara? That's how an undrained Canelo would fight Floyd.

Why does GGG have to beat a SMW? To prove something to you? The guy's not that big, and is not a natural SMW. Just because people in his weight class are afraid to fight him, doesn't mean he has to risk himself against bigger guys just to make nay-sayers believe. Just like Cotto said tonight, he's not a MW. That means he's not going to fight a skilled, powerful natural MW like Golovkin.
