Salute to Paul. Too bad we never got to see his whole career pan out.

But, do you think he had already peaked? Was he on the downside already? Or would he have always been a serious threat to anybody?

    Discuss.

He's literally polar opposite to Tommy Hearns.

The only similarities they have is they're both tall and both black.

Pretty much. Didn't have the power, or jab, hearns did.

I don't see any similarities in style.
I haven't seen anyone like Hearns come along. This is a stretch, but if I had to find someone I'd say that Oscar SOMETIMES brought a similar, rangey, aggressive attack. But, I admit that's really a stretch. What made Hearns unique was the combo of reach, aggression, speed, and power. You almost never see all 4 together.

Physically yes, but miles apart in the skills level... Hearns is one of the best pure boxers in history...

              Hearns was basically
              Vernon forrest jab and skills
              Paul Williams size
              tito Trinidad power

              All wrapped in one fighter

                  Or style, or skills.

                  They're literally nothing alike.

Pau Williams was a guy who out worked you, didn't have much of a jab, didn't use his height, iron chin, big Gass tank, overwhelmed guys with output, no one punch power.

Hearns was a guy who boxed and countered, hard sharp jab, picked accurate shots, extreme one punch power, perceived to have a weak chin, didn't have great stamina.

                  Seriously couldn't be less alike
