Where is Carl Froch ranked in British ATG's?

I'm curious to know why Cooper is greater than Froch in your opinion?

First off, Froch is one of my favorite boxers of the last ten years. Love his warrior attitude, his chin, and I believe he has a very good resume. Froch-Taylor is one of the most exciting fights in many years.

Second, I'm old enough to actually remember the Cooper-Clay fight.

Lastly the thread says ATG which I interpret to include popularity then boxing skills. Therefore even Frank Bruno should be considered as both he and Cooper were/are beloved by the British sports fans. Cooper's left hook near ko of Clay is by itself enough to put 'Enry on the list. Hell he went 15 rounds with Joe Bugner in his last fight (Cooper did)

I don't think even his most ardent supporter would say Froch is beloved by anyone save his loud mouthed gf.

You guys are forgetting the seriously old guys like Jimmy Wilder (no I'm not THAT old).

Hatton, Lewis, Calzaghe, Froch all should be considered.

Anyway that's my opinion on this topic.

ATG means all time great boxer. It doesn't mean all time beloved. Floyd Mayweather isn't beloved. Ali wasn't beloved in his day.

Being beloved doesn't mean you're a great boxer. A lot of British people tend to support lovabale losers more than winners. It's a bit sad.

Rematch was pretty clear win IMO. 8-4 Froch.

The first fight was much closer.

Yes rematch was clear froch win, 116-112 but I thought he struggled at times with an ancient Kessler... Maybe Kessler just has the right style to give froch problems no matter how old Kessler is..
