as long as boxers take two good fights per year, i'm okay with them also taking as many stay-busy fights as they want to
within reason, that is. for example, garcia-salka and wilder-molina are unacceptable even as stay-busy fightsComment

Razor close my ass...Thurman fought Bundu who had a razor close fight with Gavin before he fought Guerrero who isn't all that much better than Rios and now he's fighting Collazo.
And Brook is fighting 3 times in 5 months. 1 was a mandatory defence. And Rios is a far better fight than any of these, not a gimmie.
He didn't give any chance to Gavin. He beat him as convincing as Brook only thing is Bundu hasn't got Brook's power so he didn't knock him out but still knocked him down and win by an easy UD. That's how good opponent Gavin is.
I won't defend Thurman next opponent choose only on one way namely that I think it's Haymon's fault not his but I think that's the case with Brook woo maybe sometime it's not obvious but I blame Hearn for Brook's opponetns not the fighter himself,Comment

Yes he is officially "injured" I know that, everbody knows that. Then why the fuck Brook namedropped him? That's the question...
I tell you why because it was just -as I said earlier - a namedrop.
As for the Collazo fight see my comment above.
You better watch that Bundu-Gavin fight again. Razor close... lmao...Last edited by HEND; 06-05-2015, 11:01 AM.Comment

Bundu-Gavin was a close fight. They're about the same level of fighter. Euro level. Difference is that Brook dispatched Gavin like the Euro level fighter he was and Thurman failed to impress against Bundu.Razor close my ass...

Hearn and Haymon are looking out for the best interests of their own fighters. They've discussed the Brook-Thurman fight and agree it needs to be built because the money isn't there to satisfy both parties. The only difference is Brook has a promoter who actually talks and explains this things. Whereas Thurman doesn't - he just runs his mouth off in public but ultimately answers to his paymaster.Comment

I'm sure most promoters would love to give us all Super Fights but Financially that is not possible. Networks, Promotions they all have what is known as a "BUDGET" so yeah you're going to get your mismatches in between the big fights. This is really not nothing new in boxing to be honest, now once you're a PPV Star then yes every time you fight since you asking people to pay, it should be a big fight. But these Network Fights, they have a Budget! Not ok with these matchups, I don't run with the whole "as long as they fight someone good next" mentality, by that logic fights like Salka are ok. These matchups further degrade the integrity of boxing, I am not saying they should be fighting killers every time but they should always be fighting moderately competitive opposition. But I suppose if that happens then Herrera like upsets are possible.
Then again Khan vs Algieri was suppose to be a mismatch everybody was crying about when it was announced and that end up being a good fight and a ratings hit for PBC.
So WE the fans really don't know as much as WE think We Know! If Promoters and Networks listened to the fans, Boxing would run out of big match ups within a year! I certainly don't expect PBC to give us everything for free, the big match ups fans will likely have to pay for those. No way Wilder vs Wlad or Fury is going to be Free!Comment
