also, manny wanted it at 142 which you refused and offered 145, can't complain about an offer that you made. geale never offered 157, you demanded he take it or no fight.

The problem is that casual fans are not cinsistent. If Cotto was a wrong for putting this catch weight for this fight then he is right about his own experience with Manny. Why is everything different and acceptable when Manny does something? It's not. Be consistent! Geale needs this fight and every challenger in boxing history goes through this. Oscar did it to Floyd. And so on and so forth.

Cotto had to agree to a catch-weight of 145-pounds for the fight with Pacquiao in 2009, which saw the Puerto Rican star get stopped in the twelfth round.
Cotto makes the first defense of his WBC middleweight world title on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. HBO will televise the contest.

The difference is that pac was moving up in weight, cotto and pac were in separate weight classes, this is what catchweights were designed for, allowing 2 boxers from different weight classes to get into the ring (probably not so necessary with the amount of weight classes these days).
Cotto and Geale are in the same weight class, the only reason for the catchweight is so Cotto can drain Geale, there is no other reason.
Cotto fans fail to realise this, cotto is pretty much just using dirty tricks to gain an advantage.
What cotto is doing is far worse then what pac did to him.

Manny DOES catch a lot **** for the catch weight fights, stop pretending he doesn't or didn't. People don't give Manny a pass, people shouldn't give Cotto a pass either. I like Cotto, but he's just become way too much of a diva since the Mayweather fight, especially during/after the Martinez fight.

Pac wasnt campaigning at 147, he just went there to fight oscar at the time.
Cotto is the dam lineal champion at 160, there is a huge difference.

He fought at welter. Cotto didn't weigh 160 either against Martinez, so no there's no difference.
