Off course its BS but I can see why he thinks its ok to call a CW on others , the Manny fans cant be rubbishing Cotto for this as he is doing what Manny did and nobody complained about Manny at the time , Manny got away with so much BS concerning weight and it was him that opened the CW floodgates , it seems trainers woke up to how much a few founds in weight can really matter .

Cotto never offered 145 Manny demanded it , he is doing the same thing here with Geale .
        Now that's the truth..

Every time Cotto comments on anything he just sounds ass hurt as if he's always been a victim of something.

Smdh. Cotto deserves more respect than this. Seriously.

He fought Margarito at his peak, for goodness sake. He's been involved in many wars. Won some, lost some. Took a catchweight against Pacquiao. And as the sport's third biggest star, and at the end of his career, he doesn't want to shortchange himself. I wonder how many Mexican fans called Chavez a heartless punk when he demanded a catchweight versus Whitaker. Not many, I bet.

also, manny wanted it at 142 which you refused and offered 145, can't complain about an offer that you made. geale never offered 157, you demanded he take it or no fight.
                  The bold, is absolute rubbish.

And only a silly pacstain would write this.....

Cotto wanted 147, Pacquiao demanded a catchweight of 142, and they settled on 145..... they settled on 145, because Pacquiao threatened to kill the fight unless his demands were met.

It is the exact same situation, exact !

You are correct, I remember it clearly.

                      Cotto complained about the catchweight.

It held up the negotiations for a long time.

He conceded, because it was a show-stopper for Pacquiao.

Manny threatened to walk, so Cotto had to accept the catchweight.

The catchweight was a show-stopper for Pacquiao, he totally refused to fight Cotto at 147......
WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto recently revealed that he'd rather vacate his title than pay $150,000 in sanctioning fees for a November

And before some silly pacstain tries to insinuate that the 2lbs didnt matter for Cotto, according to Pacquiao the catchweight was crucial......
