I don't know Medina, but I know Jackson is Julian Jackson's son. He has no name-value in the UK and I'm guessing DeGale wants a high-profile fight to make some money. The British fighter Fielding would maybe get the nod over those two.

Ideally, I'd like to see DeGale unify with Arthur Abraham to establish the true #3 (or #2) in the division, but there's no chance of him leaving Germany.
Medina KO'ed J'Leon Love last year in hilarious fashion. Fielding has the best risk:reward ratio, but he'll need to get past Vera. If he's worth anything, he should be able to beat Vera.

Kesslers' been retired two years? Bad idea to get back against such a good boxer. Good for DeGale, though. Good moneymakers and a name on his belt.

Kessler was a great fighter and would be a decent 1st defence for James DeGale, even with Kessler being retired for 2 years, he is still a big name in the UK and a fight with DeGale would do big numbers. I like Kessler as a fighter and a person but i can see DeGale winning comfortably in this one.

He should go to Germany and box his ears off.

Wouldn't even matter about location because it would be that one sided.

Then he will have 2 belts, Groves will have one after he beats Jack, then they can have a rematch and the winner fights Ward for all the belts.

Isn't he a middleweight? And no one knows who he is. DeGale is probably going to headline his first ever big show. They need someone with name value who's going to come to London. Kessler ticks those boxes. Bute has also been mentioned.

Unrealistic. The Sauerlands are going to have Abraham and Stieglitz box each other until they're pensioners.

If DeGale can get Kessler/Bute, great for him. There's little chance that either guy will present much of a challenge, and at least they have a name while the IBF-sanctioned opponents don't. He'll face Groves/Jack afterwards, and then an IBF opponent in early '16.

Well in that case they should have Groves fight him after he beats Jack.

                  That's feasible isn't it?

Groves fight who? The winner of Abraham-Steglitz 4?

Yeah the winner of that fight.

As long as the timing works for Degale-Groves 2.
