Ever since the 145lb catchweight against Manny, Cotto has been made aware of the catchweight tango and the impact he must feel, it had on HIS career. Sounds like Cotto has made the decision to play the CW game in this CW/Peds era of ATG heroes. Cotto is clearly pissed and that is evident in his unapologetic demeanor.

The sad part of this is that it all started with promoters taking too much advantage of the fighters. Boxers started to defend themselves from the promoters but it got out of hand to what we are seeing these days.

But I'll say this, if you singed a contract you have to live with it and learn from the bad experience.

The problem is that if you refuse to sign the contract, no fight for you. They don't have a choice. Then it looks bad when you complain about the contract that you agreed to. Boxing these days is too much business/politics, not enough actual sport.

Geale could have simply said no and continue fighting the p4p guys he's been fighting out there in the down under. But he said yes and signed the contract and thanked his team and HBO for getting him this fight, now all he has to do is shut the f up and fight.

I just got off the phone with Cotto and he is convinced you are a phagg. He also said he gets off on pissing you off and knowing that you buy his fights to yell at your TV.

On one hand Geale doesn't deserve the shot so he's going to take whatever he's offered and that's his problem but how can you enforce your mandatory into a catch weight? That's something you should get stripped for honestly.

That precedent was set years ago when the WBO made Pac Cotto's Mando and threatened to strip Cotto if he didnt fight Pac. They were going to allow Pac to fight for a vacant belt that they would have stripped from Cotto.
