Cotto should be thanking Geale for taking the fight. If he hadn't, Cotto would probably still be looking for an opponent that HBO would find acceptable, even when combined with a Canelo fight.

I have never been enamored with catch weights but the reality is its part of the sport. Catch weights were around before Cotto and they will be around after. I do believe that if its for a world title (not an alphabet title) that it should be at the full weight. However, I gave credit to Pac for defeating Cotto (which I believe is Pac's greatest victory) and will give credit to Cotto. At the end of the day catch weights gets us matches that we wouldnt otherwise see, for instance; Pac still will not fight Cotto at his full weight, so theres that to consider aswell.

Not true at all, HBO was already on board to approve Heiland and K9. Geale is the better fight. Canelo is next then possibly GGG whats the complaint?

Yeah, CWs have been around but they are pertinent and acceptable when it's a fight between two guys in different divisions. You can't have two guys in the same division, fighting for a belt/championship in said division, with a weight limit imposed below the divisional limit (see: Mayweather/Canelo and now Cotto/Geale). This is ridiculous.

When guys like Pac, Leonard, Hearns, Armstrong and co used CWs, they used it when moving up in weight to challenge a new champion.

Sounds like you saw something in Cotto's picture, that caused you to think of ********** shyt. Basically, you like Cotto's picture and subconciously made Cotto "gay" in your mind because you had a need for him to reciprocate your gay attraction to that picture of him. It happens...
No mate Despite you accusing me personally I will take time to explain that you didn't get the message. I'm not debating his sexual orientation. Don't care. What I'm saying is his primadonna acts are that.
I truely respected Cotto as a fighter and worrior that he used to be. It's terribly sad that he reverted to phagy acting.

Let me ask - do you agree that it's OK to clame that you're MW champ without once fighting at 160?

Curious, are you saying Pac wasnt a welterweight? Because Pac fought De La Hoya at welterweight which got Pac the #1 Challenger position to Cotto's title. Im all for writing history, but to re-write it is disingenuous at best.

I agree there should definitely be a rule specifically championship fights.
