No it's not. Since you Cotto fans are all into the $$$ now(how funny), a Mexican date would get the most money possible for both fighters. Like I said before, I just want to see the fight no matter what date. I don't get a cent from those two making money.

No one is saying fighting on Cinco de Mayo or Mexican Independence Day doesn't equal more money. When it's up against Floyd (That was the issue) June 6th offers much, much more money without sacrificing your pocket book.

Basically, unless I'm missing something, Cotto is saying that, with his win over Geale, Canelo can go **** himself about pushing for the fight to be in September. As a positive, it doesn't seem like Cotto is particularly tied down to any venue either.

Book the fight at a date that works for Cotto, at the venue that brings the largest gate/highest site fee to the table (MGM Grand in Las Vegas, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Barclays Center in New York, Staples Center in Los Angeles, and Alamodome in San Antonio would them seem like the venues in play), and the verbal becomes a formal agreement.

Honestly these guys have only 1 place to go and it is with each other as long as Cotto doesn't blow it (his fight is more risky than Canelo's was) and it would still probably work even if he does blow it.

Should be a solid scrap though because their style should fit well together along with a fun build-up, so hopefully it comes off as planned (no harm no foul as long as it comes off in the fall).

It's not dumb, it's the main reason the fight didn't get made... Going on the week after a $100 is a good idea now? No way Cotto/Canelo is not PPV lol.

Bullshyt. No we dont... and the fact that you compared Mexicans with PRs and DRs shows how little you know.. so stop pretending. For one, us PRs HATE that comparison and 2, We claim to be "Caribbean" or "Latin".. never Hispanic, thats some MX ish.
