Second of all, Sulaiman stated that GGG will step aside IF both Cotto and Canelo are willing to sign a guarantee that the winner will fight Golovkin in their next fight. Neither are willing to sign such a guarantee. This is EXACTLY what Loeffler states in the press conference. Maybe you should take the time to watch it.

Don't have to because neither of them will sign such a contract. GGG fights for HBO ultimately GGG will do what HBO says. Your problem is you think Sulaiman will choose GGG over Cotto vs Canelo, you're wrong. All the cards are stacked against GGG on this one, whether it's right or wrong is debatable, but what's not debatable is that GGG does not have control of his own fate on this one.

Sulaiman has given numerous interviews and in every one he includes a variation of 'The winner between Cotto and Canelo must fight GGG'. In some he mentions that they must sign an agreement before GGG will step aside and in others he does not mention it. I think Sulaiman is just stuck and has no idea how to please both sides of the problem. Loeffler seems to be very pissed off at the situation and I would not put it past him to try to get an injunction to block the Cotto-Canelo fight being a title fight.

All I know is that this is a mess that is very far from being resolved.
