Stevenson had his most notable fights on HBO i.e. Dawson and Clound. Hbo made this guy but as soon as Kovalev was coming up the ranks, Stevenson made that move quick running scared and since signing with Al, Stevenson has been fighting D and C level fighters. Bika was his best opponent who is a true super middleweight lmao! Kovalev fought the legend Hopkins and the tough as nails Pascal. I don't blame Stevenson but he will be known as the one that ran to big daddy Haymon avoided Kovalev like the Ebola virus. And for you who are whining about the mohammedi fight....is he not supposed to fight mandatories??? Stevenson is at the end of the line, Fonfara made him look like **** and was gassing out against Bika IE a super middleweight lmao know your facts before you talk cuz you will get schooled!!

I understand perfectly well why fighters sign with him, what I was referring to specifically were the blatant mismatches with huge paydays. Those can hurt the sport more than they do good actually.

I love boxing the sport. I want to see quality stuff, ranked fighters fighting ranked fighters, champions fighting champions, champions defending their belts against top ranked challengers, etc., not champions fighting unranked opponents. I don't get a boner knowing some fighter got a huge payday to fight some guy off the street, maybe you do but that's not how I want this sport to be.

This isn't a Haymon thing either so don't make it about that. When Haymon puts on good fights and cards, that's great, and he has recently with PBC for the most part.
