I honestly have never seen Mayweather put on a "masterclass"

  • I think what the TS is trying to say is that he has never seen Floyd have a Hopkins vs Tarver type win. Something that just blows you away...a masterclass victory.

At 41years old Hopkins jumps two weight divisions to face the legitimate light heavyweight champion...a 3-to-1 favourite...who is both bigger and younger...and wins a masterclass unanimous decision 118–109 on all three scorecards and your sitting there going wow throughout the entire fight.

Mayweather clearly has talent...speed and skills...but honestly I can think of many Hopkins fights that blew me away as a fan and I watched 2 or 3 times...and I aside from re-watching the Pacquiao fight just to clarify what I saw...I have never felt a need to re-watch any of Mayweather's fights.

This thread's made two things clear:

      1) Your pattern of posting is easily translated to: "Uhhhhh, when it comes to boxing...... I got nothin'."

      2) The thread is a classic example of the idiocy a person can come out with when they lack education on what they're debating.

Learn about what you speak and have informed opinion or be an idiot for life. Your choice.

      • Why do you even take the TS seriously? The guy who does a thread only about "American fighters lose" and post in that thread every single time when a third tier American fighter lose. Lmao, this guy probably gets hard and **********s to American fighters losing instead of porn.
No surprise that he hates Floyd. Hell, this guy thinks that Ward only won by 115-113 against Froch though I'm surprised a bit that he is sober enough to realize that Ward won.

Speaking about master classes, see his last fight for example. It wasn't an entertaining because it was so one sided. Pc is arguably the best offensive fighter in the sport even right now and nobody did that to him ever before. Nobody made him so average and desperate, not even JMM or Morales.

I find Mayweather disgusting. He very ugly to look at(ill assume pretty boy was self proclaimed), hes a woman beater and the fights i mnetioned are the fights ive seen. And he lost one of them, and got 3 draws in the others on my score card.

Wladimir has KO highlights, hes handsome, Athletic, speaks 6 languages, and has devastating power whilst being incredible at distance and speed.

The way Wlad fought against Chris Byrd is pure master class of Jab, distance, plus he got a brutal stoppage, ALL with out getting hit once.

The fights ive seen, albeit limited, i have not seen anywhere near that.

Thats my opinion, you disagree, then so be it. Dont cry about it...

I dont get what your about , the boxing lesson Floyd gave JMM was as fine a schooling of an ATG that youre ever gunna see , to do that to such a great boxer was amazing Floyd made him look like a C grader .

            • What this thread has taught us is the TS has issues, doesn't know how to score a fight or if he does, purposely scores fights incorrectly if one of the fighters is black.

We also know he doesn't like Floyd because he is black but pretends it's because Floyd has gone to jail for domestic violence charges. the ts also has an anti American slant in almost all his posts.

When confronted, he hides behind the "I am entitled to my own opinion" catchall, pretending that his opinions are just about boxing.

              Nothing new.

1: You're SUS as fuck but never mind I have no problem with gays I just don't think that their looks are speaking about their achievements and skills even if you're gay.

                2: "opinion"... yes-yes continue please
It's not "just an opinion" when you intentionally provoke other users with your useless thread baiting. For example you always bring up your pathetic thread which is all about you joy yourself about American fighters lose every time after a second-third tier American fighter lose... Of course you're in dead silent when American fighters win because that doesn't fit in your agenda. It's not an "opinion" it's provoke. There's a difference between the two.

But i judge a guy on his skills, regardless of personality. For example i dont like Amir Khan, but hes one of my favourites as i think hes tremendously talented. When hes on hes on, and there no denying is incredible speed and skill.

Has Floyd ever done that for me??Nah. The fights ive seen, whether live or on youtube were as follows.

Castillo-We all agree he lost that one.

Hatton-got the pay per view. Hatton did terribly well considering he was fighting floyd at a weight class the pundits said he should never fight at. Pus Cortez was disgraceful. however Hatton still caught Floyd a few times despite disadvantages. Not impressed yet.

ODH-Draw. Crap fight where a past prime fighter was pressing all the action and floyd ducked in his usual awkward way. No one won that fight. Certainly no masterclass.

Ortiz-Just when i thought the fight was exciting, floyd cheated and pot shotted his last "ko". Pathetic as the fight was quite good untill then.

Canelo-Fair cop, i scored this 4 rounds victory for Floyd. This is the best ive ever seen him fight personally. Even then though he weight drained a green fighter. But fairs fair, he boxed well imo.

Maidana fight 1-Draw again. I am not making this up. I Couldnt quite give it to Maidana as he tired in the second half of the fight. So a draw is fair.

Pacquio fight-i watched this a week later on youtube knowing it would be crap. Again a Draw. No problem floyd getting the nod. Pacquio had one arm, but still landed the better punches. Floyd had the fight he wanted. Bit again, i was not impressed.

In conclusion, the media keep telling me "genius this and genius that". I dont see it. Lets face it, if he wasnt America he would be like Rigondeux. He just doesnt dominate opponents like say Wladimir Klitschko does. Wlad for 10/11 years has literally barely lost a round, and probably KOED 80-90 percent of his opponents. I never feel wowed by floyd, i never feel appreciated that ive watched something truely great.

All i see is a very good boxer aming dam sure he had every advantage for the fight and being extremely defensive whilst doing enough to make it tricky for the judges.

I will not miss him when he retires...
If you get the time check out Floyd fighting at the lighter weights back in his prime. Heres the thing. The speed in those divisions is such that it takes incredible talent to do things like slip, counter, and in general to control the ring. Floyd did all those things. A lot of the work he did back then gets distorted because of how he fights now, but Floyd could do things with slipping punches, countering that only a few fighters could do.

                    • His "masterclass" obviously mostly involves running.

America is unique in that it is possibly the only country where purposely avoiding a fight is considered good form and can be viewed as "winning" a fight.

Nevertheless, it cannot and should not be denied that Mayweather is a highly skilled boxer, in some respects, likely the most skilled boxer to date of all time.

                      That is only fair.

Absolutely disgusting as a human being..

And utterly disgraceful style of boxing..

But nevertheless, very difficult to beat, even without farcial judging, injuries or interpretations of style...

Boxing wise the guy is good.. REAL good!
