TBH, this is barely above the Quintana fight which was 3 ****ing years ago. Thurman is not a prospect anymore nor does he need to be protected. I still can't wrap my head around how Broner/Porter is happening at a catchweight with a rehydration clause, Khan is facing Algeri and then Thurman is fighting is taking a big step back to face Collazo. There's too much bullshit going on. Thurman/Porter seemed like the obvious fight to make. But let me guess, once Porter loses to Broner, he can use the CW as an excuse and then fight Thurman @WW.
You know why. We all know why. The answer is simple. AL Haymon. Everyone said last year with all those mismatched fights just wait till PBC Haymon is saving the big fights for 2015. Yeah right same ol BS. He won't let his best fighters fight each other because he is trying protect them all at the same time. PBC is a joke. Haymon is the road block to all these fights fans want to see. Khan, Broner, Thurman, Garcia, etc all in the same stable yet and none of them fighting each other or the the top fighters from other promoters? But Haymon is the savior of boxing? LMAO

calling PBC a joke so prematurely just makes you look like an ignorant hater.

So far the formula appears to be 1 good fight, and 1 tuneup/showcase fight. Theyre active enough to fit in 3 fights, hopefully the 3rd fight is another good fight.

          • Hells yeah, Thurman is taking on the best of the best because the rest stay ducking him.

            • Collazo...Sleep on him if you want to. If this fight aint fixed and Collozo shows up in beast mode, Trurman will suffer his first defeat. But then again its an Haymon stable mate so Thurman will win.

              • Honestly, you keep him active 4 fights a year and feed him good fights, then this is alright with me.

Finally got his name fight last fight.
It's on ESPN and Haymon's footing the price.

It's what he does in the next two is important. Haymon has a majority of the talent at the division, so he shouldn't have a problem matching him with a good name/opponent like other people.

I'm fine with this Collazo fight for now

Still put a W in the ledger; no one is arguing that this is a great fight, but, with the 147 division being what it is for the forseeable future, Thurman-Collazo isn't as bad a matchup as people are harping about, especially with the fight being targeted for Florida.

Thurman-Berto would've also been a good fight, but there's no real sense of the type of money that was set aside to put together the PBC on ESPN card.

He's not ducking anyone. But this fight sucks. Point blank.

                    • Thurmann fighting another one of Khans leftovers

Wonder if Thurmann will knock Collazo out, Khan dropped him 3 times...
