Disappointing match-up which you can guarantee Thurman didn't want, I expect he'll complain about it to the media.

Respect to Collazo though, he called out Thurman way back.
Can Thurman beat Collazo like Khan did? Probably not since they don't fight a like at all and Thurman is less likely to play it safe nor would he be as effective if he tried.

Yeah, I'm curious what this suggests about the budget for these ESPN cards.

This is the first one, and you'd expect them to lead strong, yet this looks like a step down from Thurman's fight on NBC.

It's not an awful fight, but it's not a great one either.

And when you also look at it with Robert Guerrero-Aaron Martinez, you can begin to see the cycle of these fighters on the PBC.

I hope so unless khan gets the Mayweather fight.

I do like the Harrison fight though, that is one of his best prospects and he hurts people. It is a step up from the guys he has been beating which were faded names, although he treated them like faded names.

Where the Haymon suckups? More garbage mismatches from Haymon. Thurman could fight anyone of the many Haymon stable fighters or one of the many top fighters from other promoters but we all know that's not happening because daddy Haymon says so. Thurman should be fighting Khan, Maidana, Broner, Garcia, ect. All those guys want to fight each other. But again the road block is Haymon so we get all these guys fighting lesser fighters instead. What a joke

The best decision Collazo ever made was signing with Al Haymon. Collazo is a b-level fighter who is way past his prime, but he is getting fights, he is getting television exposer and he is getting paid well. That wouldn't be happening if he was fighting for Top Rank or GBP.

Its pathetic and you can't really compare it. Al has 200 fighters with PBC...They are stacked in the welterweight division...and all of these guys are "advised" by Haymon and will do whatever he says. So to give Collazo to Thurman instead of a legit opponent is crazy. Al needs to get out of matchmaking...he is the worst at it.

Its not like K2 could say, "Peter Quillin, you will be facing GGG next." Al has that luxury and he is not using it....He's acting like hes still a manager...No Al, you are a promoter in charge of a really big enterprise now.

Ewww. Thurman/Collazo is basura. I can't believe we aren't getting Thurman/Porter (an obvious fight to make) but we're getting Broner/Porter with a bunch of stipulations. The worse opponent I would've accepted is Alexander.
