HBO finally gets it.
To keep fans interested you have to make the fighters fight 3-4 times a year.
1 or 2 big fights with serious opponents and 1-2 lower tier opponents.

Stay busy, stay in fans minds and ratings will go up.

Fighting once a year people tend to forget you.

Were you saying that it was a "good business move" when Stevenson signed with Haymon instead of fighting Kov back then?

You can say Stevenson ducked fight then but now kovalev ducking it now especially with HBO banning haymon fighters from they network so it's no point in either calling eachother out anymore with Stevenson being lineal champ some argue he just paper champ you can forget a 50/50 split anymore since no purse bid superman would want atleast a 60/40 split and HBO would have to approve putting a haymon fighter on they network

Kovalev is a bitch for signing a contract with HBO instead of fighting Stevenson. He really screwed every true boxing fan with that selfish decision.

Goddamn you're ******. Nobody is passing on a long term HBO deal, least of all Kov who couple of years ago was making 10k per fight.

Stevenson can have his promoter talk to HBO if he really wants that fight. He'd do way better financially that rematching Fonfara or Bika or whatever. His numbers have plummeted, both the TV ratings and gate.

Kovalev didn't run anywhere and he was able to fight BHop and Pascal.
Stevenson ran away and DID NOT fight BHop or even Pascal.
Remember when Stevenson was supposed to get all these big fights after signing with Haymon's "advice" company?
