    They shouldnt.

That comment was likely directed toward Kovalev fans, who may not care.

Yep, nothing happened here that interests me.

I am not a huge Kovalev fan, but it is great to hear that he now has some financial stability in his life..... I know that he has worked really hard, and I know that he has sacrificed to be in that position, so good for him.

Other than that..... whoop-dee-doo..... who fkn cares !

Traditionally, network showcase fighters dont walk a hard path, Kovalev will likely be the same..... now he will likely make good money, not much splash, and be quickly forgetten.

Yes, it is a problem that HBO would keep matching him with that sort of opposition due to the good ratings, but they would be right in their assumption that fans don't have a consistently high standard. Most times, we just want to watch boxing, regardless of how bad the match-making is. If I enjoying watching a fighter, I tend to put up with more lackluster match-ups. HBO is also correct in their plan to showcase destroyers like Kovalev/GGG/Gonzalez as much as they can. I've been watching Kovalev since the Lionell Thompson fight on NBC, haven't missed one yet. I also haven't missed any of Stevenson's fights since Alcoba; I watched Stevenson/Bika and not Dirrell/Bika, but the latter was more evenly-matched. The problem with Stevenson is that he's being matched-up in bouts that he's expected to end in spectacular fashion, but now he's failing to live up to that. If Kovalev starts going the distance with guys whom he's expected to knock out, then maybe fans will stop tuning in. The problem with my logic is that Adonis/Kovalev and other punchers will always attract viewers, regardless of their opposition quality. Kovalev's dominance in the ring is translating into solid ratings, while Adonis' ratings aren't as strong as before. Some people will tune in for the KO (i.e. Garcia-Salka), while others will tune out because they don't like the match-up. Now that Adonis is beginning to slack, it's time to match him against tougher opposition to entice the audience. The same goes for Kovalev if he runs into a similar problem.
      Great post !

What's the point in posting an offensive comment, and remove it right after someone identified it as racist. By removing the tweet, it prove the fact that Kovalev knew the post was indeed, racist.
Look, Kovalev is not too quick, and due to his past racist blunders, he has a hard time hiding his true manner of speech.
        REMEMBER: http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...50&postcount=1

Everytime you ask him a question about Stevenson, Kovalev plays dumb like he suddenly doesn't understand, and ask the russian traduction to his sugar daddy, Egis Klimas. The problem is, his manager doesn't translate, he only whispers Kovalev what he has to repeat.
        WATCH THIS: https://twitter.com/Main_Events/stat...95133739786240

Duva went asking the WBC to force the matchup, thinking Stevenson-Haymon-Michel wouldn't have the choice but to vacate the WBC title. She thought that Stevenson would have replicated the Quillin move. Wow, this lawyer is really unskillful to think that simple.
And to her great surprise, she realize that Stevenson wanted that fight all along. Asking herself, how the F Adonis team are so confident, I have a bad feeling about this one, it's time to throw our bluff card on the map, like I did with the phony lawsuit I was about to lose.

If the purse worth the fight, it could be on HBO, Showtime or PBC, it doesn't matter because the shares would still be at 50% each opponents. So, I don't know who Kovalev's clowning other than himself with his 50% split on HBO, which clearly prove how he endorse the withdrawal decision taken by Kathy Duva.
Kovalev wants no part of Stevenson, they only wish Stevenson loses his title down the road, and they'll run to pick that WBC Belt by saying anyway stevenson wasn't a real champion and other ish.
Who did Kovalev fought? Over-defensive Agnew Nah! no punching power Caparello Nah! glucosamine-man B-hop Nah!, deflatable showoff full of compressed air Pascal Nah!, WHO?
So, what the F Kovalev is talking about, his own next opponent Mohammedi, got Ko'd by Dmitry Sukhotsky in 2 rounds, by visiting the canvas twice. The truth is in your face, they don't want to face Stevenson, it's all talk for the fans (hidden quacks). We deserve to be respected, not to be fooled by talented bluffers like team Duva.
