LOL @ in negotiations. Ward doesn't even wanna fight a high level guy at his own weight right now. I highly doubt he'll be fighting the best guy at a higher weight anytime soon.

The **** I wanna see the most is some combo of Kovalev vs Stevenson vs Beterbiev. Kovalev is locked outta those fights due to his manager being happier with HBO & Main Events than getting his client the most money. I'd bet PBC would pay him more for fighting Stevenson & Beterbiev then he could make fighting for HBO vs mostly fringe contenders from now til 2019.
Similarly Stevenson would get paid way more for Kovalev on HBO than whatever he makes vs fringe contenders. His numbers have gone to **** since he left HBO, really plummeted. Not just TV, also attendance in one of North Americas best boxing markets.

Well obviously the two best guys make the most fighting each other. But I thought I heard Stevenson made $3M for fighting Sakio Bika. I'd be surprised if Kovalev could make $3M fighting Bika on HBO. And I think Stevenson vs Beterbiev has potential to be a big fight in 6-12 months. Idk what big fight looms for Kovalev with the non-PBC roster he gots available. Only thing I'm looking forward to see Kovalev do on HBO is fight Ward & that seems like a longshot to me.

That's probably 3m Canadian. I havent seen anything solid, seems like a projection. Very good if true, but Stevenson has built in revenue streams in Canadian PPV and Quebec normally sells a lot of tickets. Looks like he couldnt attract 5k for Bika, and I doubt the PPV sales were even decent.

There's definitely something to what you're saying.

But the networks! More mis-matches. I would rather see 1 great matchup than 3 mis-matches.

You just show yourself up as a fanboy on occasions. Now that there are "discussions" that Froch will face GGG you have GGG on your "dish out ****" list. Golovkin has to fight B fighters as all the supposed A level stars see him as extremely high risk and low reward. Lets see if your boy can get motivated a little.

Kovalev will not be starved for quality opposition while trying to establish a legacy.
I'm not as familiar with LHW as with some other divisions, so that's why I'm having such a hard time envisioning this plan. I'm aware of only two of those names in your list, and I don't think they'll be ready by next year. Like you said, the plan to sign with HBO is a long-term one. However, they need to make sure his match-ups are decent in the short-term while the lesser-known LHWs continue to establish themselves. Haymon has control of several currently relevant fighters, so I think it would be a good idea if Kov gets to Brahemer before Stevenson does. Fonfara and Beterbiev seem to be in line for Kov, so maybe the promoters/networks can get together and find some way of making those match-ups.

2016: Skoglund, Karpency, Prieto, Monaghan, Edwin Rodriguez(compare to Ward), Bika/Fonfara (compare to Adonis)

I understand the business of cheap opponents/knockouts/good ratings but not at the expense of competitive fights.
there are only Stevenson and Ward for Kovalev as top fighters. I mean common sense, they'd feed him with B/C class fighters, to build his name for 2016 big fights
