Pacquiao Clean Punches Against Mayweather

I agree. It does show Floyd's great ability to react defensively. Especially when compared with the same combo that dropped Cotto. But this is a landed shot in my opinion and should be counted. Yeah Floyd tried to get the shoulder up in time and deflect it which he very nearly did do, but regardless the shot hit him in the temple. I have a feeling that shots like this one not being counted (possibly) are the ones that made the compubox counts look ******.Comment

Look at the last uppercut of this sequence. Blindingly fast and it did indeed land. Bet you compubox did not award this punch.
PAC suffered from too much speed in a way. Since his strategy was to try to out point Floyd, he needed to showcase his punches better and the speed just made the punches not as noticeable one by one. If Floyd is in the middle of a defensive sequence, chances are he will get credit for defending an entire flurry even though 1 or 2 got in. Punches like this just slip under the radar. Floyd defended it, right?Comment

This was one of my favorite Pacquiao punches of the night. Strangely quiet announcing on it. The fight had lulled those announcers to sleep by then I guessComment

Yeah compubox/shostats is just a guy's opinion.. Backed by a network.. Hence this guy May or may not have vested interest in tallying a clash one way or another. I prefer to use my eyes and my knowledge of the fight game (no Lampley)I agree. It does show Floyd's great ability to react defensively. Of course you got it right.He succeeded when he lead with the left dipsht, like I predicted (who would of guessed I'd be right, AGAIN
)
He landed two counter lefts in succession and led with it other times like in Hectari's gif.
I knew this would happen, I said it would be close and the winners fans would talk about a non existent shutout.
He din do nuffins!

You guys are something elseI agree from the footage we saw broadcast, but if someone like Lomachenko saw Pacquiao winning, and Holyfeild, and Mosley, who were there live, you know... the people most qualified to pick up on the nuances of the fight, I might have to give it another watch and re-evaluate my position.
"Well if Lomachenko and Holyfield thought he won maybe he did win!"Comment

Yes very often in fights you hear Lampley make bad calls on the shots landed, I understand the heat of the moment and he only has that one angle but it is often to the point of blatant incorrectness. Every now and then you will even hear someone else on the broadcast correct/challenge what he said...Best not to listen too much to the commentators anyway.
And yeah about the compubox/shostats, they are pretty pointless too, it is too subjective. Like the shot in the gif we are talking about, someone may see that and not count it as a landed blow rather one deflected by Floyd seeing as it caught a bit of his shoulder, whereas in my opinion it should be counted as a landed blow. The stats are ok to use as a gauge but not gospel as it seems some guys do.Comment

Your comments stand out not because you have anything interesting to say, but because you insist on hitting everybody in the head with a hammer to remind us that you like basketball cartoons.Comment
