Big Golovkin fan, not so much Ward but i still appreciate his talent and have him above Gennady p4p but they're both as bad as each other. Golovkin calling out smaller guys like Canelo, Cotto and Mayweather Jr with Ward calling out Gennady who's also a lot smaller. Difference here, for me, is that Ward won gold at 175 and cleared his division out years ago and hasn't moved up, as for Gennady is calling out "big money" fights and Cotto is lineal champion at 160, GGGs division!

Golovkin hasn't made light middleweight in 13 years AFAIK. Now... a 19 year old Golovkin can't make light middle, but a 32 year old golovkin is? Riiiight

Ward was NEVER the UNDISPUTED SMW champion. He never held all the titles at the same time and that is what is required to be the undisputed champion. I do agree that Ward has to rebuild his name before this fight can be made. At the moment, the money simply is not there.

What Loeffler stated makes perfect sense. The money expected by both fighters would be above what a normal network broadcast could support. Roc Nation could most likely pay for the fight but do not really seem to be willing to invest the money it takes to fully support their fighters. If they were, Ward would not be fighting on BET. It is a shame though, because a fight like this would put Roc Nation Boxing on the map in a big way.

GGG would be roughed up on the inside and lose IMO

I'm sure the offer won't come. Not because I think Ward is scared of GGG, but because Roc know that they would lose money if they staged it now.

If they wait awhile it could become a much bigger fight that would make money for the promotors as well as the fighters.
As I said I don't demand Golovkin to fight Ward but the "not enough money" talk is still a BS. Why can't he said just "Golovkin still wants to unify at middleweight" or "Ward is too high risk for too low reward right now". But this "not enough money" talk is a commonly used BS and also a known metaphor for "We don't want to fight him because he's too dangerous.".

Golovkin should practice English so he could do the talk part too and he wouldn't have to let his dummy, delusional coach and his promoter to harm his reputation.

GGG hype train would come to an abrupt end if he faced Ward. GGG and his overnight "diehard" fans, are more concerned with keeping up the illusion of greatness based on mediocre wins and the courtine of smaller opposition.

"GGG just needs to unify for glory..." Barcham ~May 13th

"Cotto is classless because he keeping GGG from unifying..." Barcham ~ May 14th

"Once GGG unifies, he will be considered the best MW in history..." Barcham ~ May 16th

"Being unified champ, makes a man the best ever regardless of how he unified..." Barcham ~ May 17th

"All I want is to see GGG unify the belts and then he can retire...." Barcham ~May 18th

But please tell us more about not enough money in Andre Ward.
In Monroe there's enough money but not in Ward?
I don't demand Golovkin to fight Ward at least not now in this situation I don't but hs promoter and Abel Sanchez need to stfu because every time they talk they think that they are the smart guys who can do the talking instead of their fighters but in reality they're only harmful to Golovkin's reputation.

Umm Monroe earned $100,000 to fight GGG. If GGG and Ward fight they will want millions each. Probably at least 5 million apiece. So tell us where that money is coming from? Ward got 2.1 million for fighting Rodriguez, so how much would he want to fight GGG? GGG got 1.5 million for Monroe. Do you not think they would want substantially more to fight a much higher risk opponent?

This is the #1 fight in boxing that I want to see. But even I can admit that the time is NOT now. Let GGG beat Cotto/Canelo winner and move up first.

This fight can be big since Ward is starting to be looked at as a villain.

This fight needs PPV money but is not a PPV fight. Ward's side needs improve his promotion.
