  • Golovkin vs Lara

The time is right to make this happen. Lara has said a few times that he wants it (1, 2, 3), and Monroe showed what could be done if a southpaw is able to get off some 1-2s; Lara being excellent at doing that when he sits down on punches.

Also, any attempt by Lara to make it a stinker would quickly be diffused by how well Golovkin cuts off the ring (something which Alvarez knows fuck-all how to do) and uses his range to catch guys at end of his punches.

If that's possible then so is a Chocolate fight

Does Haymon consider Lara as "valuable" an asset as Quillin, though? At least it would keep Quillin away from him a little longer.

Golovkin would kill Lara. Golovkin prefers when guys move because he can lead them into his punches. He was having great success last night when Monroe moved. When Willie fought in the trenches is when it became a difficult fight. Lara is too fragile to fight like willie and he'd break no matter how he fights.

          No thanks.
I have no desire to ever watch Lara on HBO or Showtime ever again.
He can fight the Delvin Rodriguez and Ishe Smith of the worlds on free TV. Not paid TV.

As much as I like Lara, and have been watching his pro fights since the beginning, Golovkin would indeed kill him - inside or out. Angulo had no trouble dropping him with left hooks when they get close, so it would be suicidal for Lara to let Golovkin anywhere near him... and even at range he's nowhere safe.

Seems they would volunteer Lara but not Quilin.

Man, Lara must be worthless if Haymon somehow values Quillin that much more over Lara, haha.

Go ahead and make it. Lara gets trashed
