Golovkin vs Lara

That's another intriguing part of this match-up: Lara has good power, one of the best southpaw 1-2s in boxing, enough to potentially dissuade Golovkin from coming forward all the time, but he seldom displays it unless he's in the trenches (eg. Williams and Angulo).
It was very interesting when Stevens backed Golovkin up and even landed a few clean shots. That's the only time I've seen Golovkin pause, slightly wide-eyed, and not in a rush to respond. Besides Stevens, no-one has had the power to get Golovkin's respect.
Too bad Andy Lee is injured and has Saunders-Eubank II obligations...Comment

4 pages on a fight that will never happen? What a waste of energy. Lara will never fight anywhere but PBC again and his next fight is on the lowest of the PBC shows, Spike. Hardly a show of confidence by Haymon. Instead of fantasizing about him fighting GGG, you should be thinking of him fighting the Charlos or Andrade. Let him fight Martirosyan or Molina and turn those draws into wins. There are plenty of boxers in the top 10 JrMW ranks that he has yet to fight. He should not try to mess with someone who can very well end his career.Comment

That's the way for him to get stopped. Doesn't matter how good someone is able to move around, Golovkin will cut them off. And we saw how much Lara was bothered by Canelo's body shots. GGG's are much harder and will definitely stop him from moving so much. As people have said, the best way to beat Gennady is the way Ward fights. And also, Lara may have a good 1-2, but it's going to take much more than that. Don't get me wrong, I want to see this fight, but it's going to end the same.Comment

So after last night @GGGBoxing will never fight me and I don***39;t blame him I would make him look worse than @Canelo #TeamLara #Truth

I want to see Lara himself say some of these things during an interview and not his manager tweeting ****. I know it'll be in Spanish (since he can't speak or write English) but then we'll know how serious he is about a fight. So after last night @GGGBoxing will never fight me and I don***39;t blame him I would make him look worse than @Canelo #TeamLara #Truth

We'll know how serious he is about a fight when Tom Loeffler presents him with a real offer which so far he has never tried to doComment
