Could be. Kind of like a bigger guy could shut down Ward. Maybe we'll see that fight at 168, once Golovkin unifies the MW division. If anybody ever fights him there, including the "lineal" champion. Which I doubt.

Of course, weight classes exist precisely because, yep, bigger guys beat smaller guys as a rule.

The only thing that can beat Ward is another fighter like him. If he loses to someone, it would be vs another technical fighter, probably a 175er in the Cuban amateur system

That rules out Kovalev in your mind. Fair enough. I hope we see that fight -- two different styles, same size.

Absolutely rules him out. Ward vs Kovalev would look like Hopkins vs Pavlik

GGG has a great jab very underrate, canelo would end up like a bobble head all night,
and would go down with a body shot

GGG is all wrong for Canelo IMO. I do however think Canelo finds a way to survive all 12. GGG by UD.

Lol this ain't Lemieux! Canelo would counter that jab and make him think twice.

                  Interesting train of thought

"Canelito" Alvarez vs "Good Boy" Golovkin @ 160 lbs / 11.6 Stone: Who wins?

I have Golovkin winning by stoppage in the 5th round. Too much power, Canelo would never figure out his defense, and can't fight on the backfoot. Thoughts?
