However, Monroe landed good counter shots and solid bodyshots on the Inside and Golovkin was simply getting caught.

Was Golovkin purposefully letting Ouma hit him as well? Golovkin is not and has never been a defensive genius. He doesn't need to be one.
It's an odd thing. An offensive fighter will relentlessly be criticised for his defence. Yet someone like Mayweather is never criticised for his sub-par offence.

Both GGG and Mayweather sacrifice one element. I know which I prefer.

Agree, but the flip-side is I don't think they can take a punch like Monroe. He did really well standing up to those shots for so long.

Against Monroe, he truly did not respect his power. Abandoned the best jab in boxing to go full-on attack. Looked kind of sloppy but I don't find these glaring faults in his defence. He focus on defence is dependent on the opponent. Ultimately, when you are as offensively spectacular as he is, you are going to sacrifice defence. Same with Mayweather and offence. The perfect fighter who is brilliantly offensively and defensively does not exist.
        No Ward? No Klitchko?

And he won. Is that all everyone is going to take from a fight where someone got stopped? Who would you rather him fight if he can't get those 2?

Ward doesn't murder anyone. He out points them.

You have the IQ of a dead Frog if you think Ward Murders him. Ward can outpoint him, he doesn't KO him, drama queen. "Murder"? damn, you must think Ward is some Mike Tyson type puncher.

Props to GGG. He's begging for the best fighters at 160 to fight him; and rather than sit around doing nothing, he's taking on fights, getting experience, staying more active than most fighters. He knows Cotto can't run forever, and neither can Canelo.

I don't like his putting his chin out there, but it's hard to complain. I'm a fan.

Why is it that Lara, a JMW, is a cool fight, but a Canelo fight is "picking on a little dude" - that garbage I'll never understand.

No fighter should hold a belt hostage, especially a lineal belt. Fight your mandatories. Fight or give it up. But no! Cotto is using that belt to entice your boy to go for the middleweight title.
