The Stevens fight is quite interesting, because GGG is quite tentative at points in that fight because he knew Curtis could ****.
Against Monroe, he truly did not respect his power. Abandoned the best jab in boxing to go full-on attack. Looked kind of sloppy but I don't find these glaring faults in his defence. He focus on defence is dependent on the opponent. Ultimately, when you are as offensively spectacular as he is, you are going to sacrifice defence. Same with Mayweather and offence. The perfect fighter who is brilliantly offensively and defensively does not exist.Comment

And he won. Is that all everyone is going to take from a fight where someone got stopped? Who would you rather him fight if he can't get those 2?Comment

Props to GGG. He's begging for the best fighters at 160 to fight him; and rather than sit around doing nothing, he's taking on fights, getting experience, staying more active than most fighters. He knows Cotto can't run forever, and neither can Canelo.
I don't like his putting his chin out there, but it's hard to complain. I'm a fan.Comment
