If you have a fighter infront of you who sets to punch like Golovkin, you always get off first, not only you disrupt his rhythm, but he becomes frustrated. I was yelling at my TV for Monroe to punch while Golovkin is setting up infront of him. Watch what Floyd did to Pac when Pac sets up infront of him. I want to see Quillin or Andy Lee against GGG. The thing, though, is that Quillin is a coward and Andy Lee has those Tommy hearns shaky legs.

So which is it?
Both?
It's so easy to play Monday morning QB and say if a fighter had this style he's beat him and if he had that style.

Rubio is by no means elite, but garbage? Common.
Not everyone is Floyd! Not everyone is Manny.
Why do you insist on mentioning them.
God help us.

Some of his detractors are desperately trying to find a ch.ink in his armour. The notion that Golovkin is letting light punchers hit him is only partly true in my opinion. He was indeed more defensively responsible against Stevens and conversely showed little regard for defense against Murray. Monroe would fall in the Murray category as far as punching power. However, Monroe landed good counter shots and solid bodyshots on the Inside and Golovkin was simply getting caught.
Was Golovkin purposefully letting Ouma hit him as well? Golovkin is not and has never been a defensive genius. He doesn't need to be one.

GGG was breathing hard as ***** after the 5th round. I knew he'd come out and try to go all out because he was gassed. Had Ol Willie survived that onslaught, it would've gotten interesting. Fight Lara if you can't get Cotto or Canelo which you most likely won't cause they're facing each other. Don't be Khan, waiting for 2 fighters that are facing each other then fighting cab drivers in the meantime.
