Rubio is a garbage, period. Lemieux is garbage too. In the GGG fight Rubio didn't even try as if he was paid to lay down. Monroe ring IQ is low, and I charge that to his inexperience. Perfect example of what Floyd did to Manny. If you have a fighter infront of you who sets to punch like Golovkin, you always get off first, not only you disrupt his rhythm, but he becomes frustrated. I was yelling at my TV for Monroe to punch while Golovkin is setting up infront of him. Watch what Floyd did to Pac when Pac sets up infront of him. I want to see Quillin or Andy Lee against GGG. The thing, though, is that Quillin is a coward and Andy Lee has those Tommy hearns shaky legs.
First you say the GGG thing is over when he meets power. Next, you tell is someone should offset his rhythm and make him re-set like Floyd did against Manny (and we all know Floyd ain't about punching with power).
GGG is the greatest pressure fighter of all time in my opinion. No one does it better than him. Only shot at beating golovkin is also having massive power and a granite chin. He is just a terminator golovkin.
best pressure fighter of all time?? what other pressure fighters do you even know about?
Fun fight but guys can expose themselves even in victory and that's what happened here. Golovkin is too open for shots, I know he has a good chin but if he fights more guys with big punching power he's at a big risk of getting knocked out. Way too hittable. He's also very slow in both hand and foot.
again this guy's toughest fights are against the BKB champion and the Boxcino Champion, and ya'll getting all excited like it's some sort of special performance, HBO up to its old tricks and they're working
if that had been somebody like david lemeaux or peter quillin landing those shots…this fight would be very different
If he was fighting those two, he would not abandon the best jab in boxing after round 2 and he would then crush them both. It's a pity that Al Haymon's machinations means we will never see the glorious deer-in-headlight look of Quillin as GGG rains down all manner of punches on him.

What? Typical ridiculously high standards from NSB posters.
Rubio is by no means elite, but garbage? Common.
Not everyone is Floyd! Not everyone is Manny.
Why do you insist on mentioning them.

Golovkin knows and understands the difference in his opponents power. When he faces a guy that can't hurt him, he doesn't give a ****, like against Murray same thing. When he's in there against a puncher he's much more defensively responsible, like against Stevens he was much more cautious and weary of a big counter shot. he doesn't fight the same every fight, it all depends on what his opponent is packing. Against a big puncher he's not going to allow him to punch him in the face for fun.
Anyways, this was a fun fight. Props to Monroe for bringing the action. After the knockdowns, he didn't just try to survive dude was fighting back trying to win. Entertaining night!
