Should Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (32-0, 29KOs) secure another victory on Saturday night against Willie Monroe Jr. at The Forum in Los Angeles, he will fall in line to fight the likely fight between superstars Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Miguel Cotto, according to World Boxing Council [WBC] President Mauricio Sulaiman.
Golovkin holds the WBA/IBO world titles but he is also the WBC interim-middleweight champion and the mandatory challenger to Cotto.
Cotto will defend his title on June 6th against former champion Daniel Geale at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
