Lol Golovkin isn't gonna ever get a Cotto shot so he'd better hope Canelo wins, which, imo, isn't gonna happen. Canelo isn't a better boxer than cotto.

He has to get past Geale 1st.
Cotto doesnt have GGG power, so he is in for the long haul.

Golovkin holds the WBA/IBO world titles but he is also the WBC interim-middleweight champion and the mandatory challenger to Cotto.

Cotto will defend his title on June 6th against former champion Daniel Geale at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Good to see how much of a chance they're giving Monroe Jr.

Anyone who believed that that Cotto being forced to fight GGG after his June defense was going to be enforced is a gullible idiot. Its all about the $$$ and now that we finally got Pac/Mayweather Jr. the Canelo/Cotto fight is the biggest to be made. GGG is a great fighter but he doesn't bring in the PPV dollars.
Canelo beats Cotto's ass later this year and then fights GGG mid to late next year after a voluntary defense at 160.

Sulaiman failed to say what would happen if somehow Cotto fights Floyd in September, at 155.
... But I suspect nobody in the sport took into account such a possibility...

If cotto fights floyd, he loses and Floyd retires lineal middleweight champ. At which point Golovkin will have to fight either Lee or Quillen for his linearity.

Thats depressing to hear for the GGG team , they will not get a Cotto fight if he somehow beats Canelo he will go on to face Floyd or just give back the belt after another 1 year of playing as a champ wihthout fighthing , if Canelo wins , he will ask for a Vol as he deserves as the champion and will be granted one as he is mexican god of boxing holding the mexican belt.
