So calling out the WBC MW lineal champion of the world , when you are in MW division is calling out smaller guys ? GTFO , what do i care what weight Cotto comes in ? this is exactly why cotto should just drop the belt and go back down in weight , because he dont want to defend it at its weight.when is ggg and his people going to stop calling out smaller fighters and start calling out fighters bigger then him. am i the only one who notices this? i guess to be fair he did try to fight froch and chavez but seems like he calls out everyone smaller then him even 2 weight classes but u dont hear him calling out ward or people 2 weight classes above him. i dont know i just want to see ggg is a challenging fight so bad so it makes me bias but geez at some point hes got to quit calling out mayweather which aint going to happen and it shouldnt. cotto who has never weighed in above 155 and cotto who has never fought in a bought above 155. i want to see canelo ggg as much as the next guy its just what i see.
you know what , let just have a new cotto rule because he is small champion-> Cotto can be the MW champion of the world while not fighting MW , this sounds good to you isnt it?
regarding Floyd , he said he will go down to 154 where floyd holds a belt , he wants the fight because it will take care of his family for the rest of his life , trust me when i say this , if floyd was a SMW GGG will be calling him out day and night (same as Chavez Jr) , he wants those Floyd dollars the same as EVERY other fighter in the game (Ward suggested a 160 fight vs Floyd).
if you can see what he wants , its to fight the superstars of the sport around his weight class , why ? he wants to get paid more and be more famous and by that getting paid more in the future.
his list of "calling out" are all money cows (some can box , some cannot).

If ggg fights and beats canelo or cotto in impressive fashion and then Floyd fights and beats him, I'll give mayweather all the props and forgot about all the fighters he didn't fight in their prime. Floyd would move into my top 5 of boxing if that happens.Comment

Ok, serious question here. Many people with at least half a boxing brain consider Sugar Ray Robinson to be the best boxer that ever lived. SRR moved up from Welterweight (147lbs) to Middleweight (160lbs), dominating both weight classes for years. He then challenged himself by moving up to Light-Heavyweight, or 175lbs, and faced the Lineal Champion, as they didn't have frgamented titles back then. He was defeated by HOFer Joey Maxim, as he was unsuccessful in his challenge, but he still took on the challenge.
Let's do some math: 175lbs-147lbs = 28lbs. Sugar Ray Robinson moved up 28lbs from his original championship weight to challenge himself against the best.
Floyd Mayweather won his first title at 130lbs. Him moving up to Middleweight, even at a catchweight of 158lbs, would equal SRRs feat in terms of weight jumping, but he would have to face GGG to equal the feat in terms of fighting the best in the division.
Many FM d#ckr#ders on this site like to boast about how he is "TBE," which states that he is better than anybody before him, so why is it that you all have such a problem with him moving up to face GGG at even 154lbs? Even that still wouldn't even match SRRs jump in weight and would pale in comparison to fighting a HOFer (since GGG fights nothing but bums, right?) in doing so. To come close to matching SRRs attempt at further greatness, FM would have to jump up to Middleweight and face GGG there! That's what it is, period.
If he is "TBE," why is this such a problem for all of you fanboys?! It's certainly something he can do that nobody can match, being the "TBE," right?
Save the b#lls##t excuses like
1. GGG is not a draw
2. Boxing is a business first
3. GGG doesn't call the shots, etc.
4. FM would beat him anyway so why bother
5. You just called us out and we will dodge your question any way we can
Again, if he is "TBE," why is this such a problem for all of you fanboys?!?!?!?!Comment

Uh no, Ward is the man, and Ward has said that GGG can get it anytime.Boxing has divisions for a reason .... and both Lara and Ward are in different divisions than GGG, so ... ?
Apart from the different divisions, there are good reasons why GGG isn't fighting Lara or Ward instead of Monroe.
Ward is the champion at 168, and GGG isn't his mandatory challenger, so the fight can only happen (at 168) if Ward offers GGG a shot at his title, and Ward hasn't done that.
Lara is with Haymon, and GGG is with HBO, who won't work with Haymon unless it's on something very big - like Floyd/Manny.
GGG vs Lara would not be a big fight, by any stretch. And the middleweight "monster" chasing a super welterweight around the ring would do nothing for GGG's reputation or popularity whatsoever.
Coming to GGG and Floyd - Golovkin was asked a dumb question by a reporter during a public workout, and gave a flippant reply. He isn't calling Floyd out and he never has done.
I'm sure GGG/Foyd will never happen. The size difference is too much. Maybe GGG could get down to 154, but at 32 yo, it would be huge gamble for him to try it. As you have said, if he was comfortable at 154, he would be fighting there all the time.
From Floyd's point of view, even a weight drained GGG would only need one chance to take him out, so it would be a gamble for him too. GGG might take that risk, because of the money involved. But Floyd could make more money for less risk and has plenty more options, so it isn't going to happen.
They avoid discussing Andre Ward for a very good reason.
Sanchez has made a pile of excuses to avoid that fight.
The excuse he made yesterday is just the latest one, not the first.....
Golovkin holds the WBA/IBO middleweight titles, and Ward is the WBA's super champion at 168-pounds. Both boxers have been dominating their respective divisions and fans are clamoring to see the two of them collide. Golovkin's promoter, Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, likes the idea of facing Ward - but also feels there is not enough money in the fight, as of this moment, to make it happen in the near future. Ward has been inactive since November 2013. He makes his return on June 20th against Paul Smith - at a catch-weight of 172-pounds.
And this, is a naive assumption.....
" even a weight drained GGG would only need one chance to take him out "
The is no way that Golovkin would be the same fighter at 154, no way.
He just wouldn't be.
I dont know how folks cant see that.
That is the whole point of my earlier post.
You should check out the Hoya that fought Pacquiao for a good example.
The 145lb version of Hoya would have been beaten by every top welter, and most top JWW's. That version of Hoya tried to make a weight that he hadnt made in a decade..... well, GGG has never made 154, EVER !
Oh, and btw, Mayweather is an " ok " fighter himself
It amuses me that people think he would be an easybeat, for anyone.Comment

I know, right ?
But somehow, not only is Golovkin going to drop an entire division at 32yo after fighting at 160 his entire career..... but he is going to do that and be successful against the best fighter on the planet.
Lets call it like it is.....
Instead of MOST informed people going with the obvious..... we got MOST uninformed people desperate to find a new hero.
If folks want Mayweather dethroned so badly they should jump on the Lara bandwagon, not the GGG bandwagon. Styles make fights, and Lara is a natural 154lb'er.
And still..... not one reply to this post, not one
So, Matthyse/Pacquiao would be a great fight ?
I agree, but.....
Mayweather would outclass Matthyse in a one-sided fight, that fight has never been mentioned, and NEVER will be. Mayweather would be ridiculed for mentioning Matthyse as a potential opponent.
And yet, Pacquiao is on Mayweathers level, right ?
This shht cracks me up man.
Why cant people just lock their feelings away, and keep it real.Comment
